Iron Horse Mixed Estate Pinot Noir (2)

I was on the fence until I saw the WE rating! Must actually be good stuff!

-just kidding, they had me for all 3 after I saw the words Iron Horse in the email. Now, how to explain to the wife…

Anyone on the fence needs to jump, IH pinot is where it is at folks. I wish I had ordered more than 1 of the Valentines magnum…

These are troubling times. I’d better make sure my billables are good at work to pay for all this wine.

We have loved our Iron Horse/Woot connection for many shipments.

I was tentative on this, but give the rave reviews, I’m going to sneak in for a couple and surprise my wife.

Hope to get out to the vineyard to enjoy a visit soon!

Deal! Bring your cab franc along, too.

Don’t even ~think~ about it.
I’ve already got my bids on those…

To quote sparky… Muhaha!!!

Last call!

If the $85 Deer Gate only got a 92 from WE, I may just pass and wait for some Willamette Pinot. I do like IH bubbly for special occasions! Since I’m retiring later this month and have a ton of wine on hand, I think I’ll remain very picky and keep the wife off my tail. Arrgghh, wish I could press the button to find out why it’s special.

Quit listening to Parker and WE; just do it!
I’ll have four of those puppies in the cellar after these arrive.
Wish I could afford more.

yawn…

Worth the flier to see what the hype is all about!

And I always wonder about the sales made to wooters who joined the day of the sale and it’s their first woot… Couldn’t be anyone trying to order a few more than 3, eh? Strictly as gifts, I’m sure!

Chill out, bro.

I have one in the cellar. If you’re going to the Scott Harvey dinner next year, remind me and I will bring it.

Probably the most trusted palate of any wooter. Perhaps of no use to you but others look for and appreciate his opinion.

“enters reminder into Outlook”

Alright mudman, keep the garbage posts directed at woot. Leave wooters trying be helpful alone.

Mudman? Garbage posts? I’m ok with that. Come on, woot welcomes the alternative opinion.

This is one of the best PN’s 've had. Anywhere. Too expensive at vineyard. Sadly, thi sweek was also a very special week in the desert in NEvada where the internet is not so available or indeed desirable!

Glad you got some!

This is an rpmAUTOBUY with strong recommendation for multiple units.

If memory serves, we tasted the 2012 Estate Pinot on the 2014 rpm Tour, and it was outstanding. Lovely Pinot comes out of this part of the Russian River Valley, and the 2012’s are almost uniformly well above the general level of Sonoma County Pinot. Easily the equal of the better Carneros Pinots.

I also tasted both of these (and several other Pinots, Chardonnays and sparklers) again a few days after the end of the 2014 Tour when I visited with my sister-in-law after a family wedding. The 2012 Deer Gate is amazing, if dear at full price.

I liked the Estate so much I bought the mag when it was available at the end of last year.

These are not inexpensive wines, but they are excellent value for money. After all, you don’t want to drink $20 wines for $10 all the time. Sometimes you want special wines. These certainly are. We’ll have them with a holiday meal in a few years!
