Is your Christmas tree still up?
Yes, but it’s coming down today
Yes, it will come down New Year’s Day.
Spending so many months living in a vast, barren land of snow, ice, and color deprivation, I usually keep my tree up until Epiphany. (Which is January 6, for those of you who don’t know… or care to know.)
I enjoy looking at the lights and ornaments, especially knowing it’s the last bit of color I’ll see until late April (if we’re lucky), but more likely May.
That said, the ice fisher people/community on the river outside my window does offer its own version of interesting color… a bit like the northwoods Disney on ice.
Viva la tree!
Partially. Took the majority of the ornaments off today, lights and garland still on.
Should be completely gone by Jan. 1
Yes. I hosted a Christmas party on Saturday, so I didn’t get to start taking down my Christmas decorations until after that, and didn’t really get a good start until New Year’s day. My 4 Christmas trees will start to come down over the next few days, and I should be done this weekend.
My biggest issue is my outdoor decorations. It has rained almost nonstop since 2 days after Christmas here. I need a good sunny day to dry everything out (especially my inflatables) before I put it up for the year, and we won’t have one of those until this weekend either.
