J. Rickards Alexander Valley Sauv Blanc (5)

Got home an hpur Go, threw a bottle in the freezer and just poured a glass. Live notes for fellow Wooters! Yes, its a sacrifice, but one I am willing to make

Better after it warms up. Slightly chilled now and getting a Wonderful nose…very aromatic. Nice slight minerality on initial taste but getting more grapefruit than I recall…not bitter or sour but definitley there. I am getting the grapefruit pith Klez mentioned at our recent gTherimg. 14.3 alcohol not noticeable at all though i can see what rjquillin meant about acidity. Great qpr!

Edit: i would say this is a mash up of NZ style SB and CA fruit forward version. I think the Semillon adds aroma and some body as it seems to be medium bodied as opposed to most SBs Ive had which are lighter. Any thoughts from the winery?
