Froogled

I think this is a good starter camera. It does a decent job, but I think the shutter speed is a bit slow.

3.5 on Amazon… http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/103-1613252-2847819?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Kodak+V1003&x=0&y=0

5.8 on CNET… http://www.cnet.com/4244-5_1-0.html?query=Kodak+V1003&tag=srch&target=nw

all in all, not so awesome. But cheap.

Can you add a different lens to this, like a panoramic lens?

Pretty good price… what’s the quality of Kodak digital cams?

Its Refurbished, Refurbished Refurbished! LOL.
But seriously, it’s very cute!

This says that it is 10megapixels, but how is the color in the pictures that this camera takes?

I broke my digital camera today (on my birthday no less) when I dropped it! DOH!!!
That said, I won’t be getting one of these:

From the CNET Review:

The good: Comes in several different colors.

The bad: Awkward controls; terrible noise; mediocre performance.

The bottom line: Unless you care more about the color of your 10-megapixel camera than the photos it captures, give this one a pass.

They are decent for all general purposes. Here’s a link to the Flickr page that will show also show you some of the best pictures that people have taken with this model camera.

PC Mag says avoid

only if it had a allot more zoom 3x is not good enough for the giants and As games.

it might be a good point and shoot cam. for a starter.

Here is the CNet Review on this camera…anyone PLANNING on purchasing this “GOOD DEAL” should really watch this review…This is NOT the best choice of camera out there!!!

I love my kodak , i love the colors

10 mp is all one ever could want

Kodak: Worst brand ever. I’ve owned several cameras made by Kodak. They haven’t made anything good since the Polaroid in the 80’s. Made with the cheapest parts available… absolutely not worth the money.

I bought the last Kodak camera they put up here, a refurb 7.1mp. This weekend was the first time I’ve really used it. The shutter speed is too slow for action shots when the flash is on, but other than that I’ve been pleased with its performance. I especially like the zoom and the auto-focus. The other issue I had was the built-in memory. It had room for 20 photos. I bought a 2 gig SD card before I took it out on the town.

My main concern is that they are re-furbished. Also, Kodak has not necessarily the /worst/ pixel quality, but it isn’t the best either. If you are looking for higher quality pixels, my suggestion is Fuji.

I wanted a white one, but the order page won’t let me choose it :frowning:

Oh well, I guess I will pass then.

i bought the v803 for $100 when it was on woot a little while ago. the dog ate it yesterday tho…bought one on ebay for $50. they are about the same camera. i like the 803. easy to use and nice screen and menus.
