Curious to know if anyone is giving these as a gift
I think you have to give them as gifts, seeings as how there are four of them and they come with those fancy boxes.
Definitely stocking stuffers
They kind of look like a copy of the famous Tullen shears from New Zealand
$30 for only 3 on QVC ![]()
Looks to be a screaming deal.
Kuhn Rikon, similar style 8" shears selling on the mothership for $17 EACH. 4.4/5 star reviews.

For the price I would give it as a set.

In my experience, kitchen shears are very useful and I have five and use them all. I don’t use the same set for meet, fish, greens or herbs. That way I prevent cross contamination and never have to wash them in a rush when I need to cut two (or more) different foods for the same dish.
Selling like hotcakes nationwide. Get out your credit card fast!
How do you keep them straight as to which one you use for which?
You could write on them with a Sharpie, or tag them with labels from labelmaker.
Lol, i use different colored duct tape…just need 2 remember what color was for which thing ![]()
By color and size. As in, if I were to buy this set, the red would be for meat, blue for fish and so on. Mine are hanging on hooks, so it’s easy for me to see and pick the right one.
Hooks are a great idea - thank you. I could label the hook holder and I think the labeling would hold up better.
I am desperately trying to work on organizing.
Kuhn Rikon is a good, reliable company. Swiss, I believe.
It’s been my favorite can opener for 20 years & look amazing.
Wouls take a chance on these. Great $$.
Agree on all points ![]()
I brought these previously and they’re wonderful. One may ask, “are they dishwasher safe”… who cares for the price! Being a germophobe, I use them once, open them and place them point down in the cutlery holes.
I like having extra pair of anything. I bought the 5 tongs deal. Plan to share some of those. Hanging sounds good. Limited on space. One day my little organizing shelves should appear. He say “she can nag all she wants. Every six months is too often!” So…Hanging is my newest approach. I didn’t buy these last time they were up. Buy a set of each color.
How sturdy are they? And what does self-sharpening mean?
Thanks
Happy Wooting
This listing says “Country of Origin: China”
I wonder why scissors like these are not advertised by nor offered for sale directly from Kuhn Rikon (checked the UK and Germany sites as well as the main site). Did anyone see them anywhere but Amazon?
My kitchen shears were part of a knife set and have a screw-lock thing where you take them apart into 2 halves for total cleaning capability. That feature is very nice, not sure I would like cleaning these ones. But then, I don’t use a dishwasher so feel free to go ahead and ignore that.
You are correct about the Made in China. However, most of Swiss and German brands are still holding their Chinese contractors to the same standards as their own factories. [Of course, that truth does not apply to bootleg products.] I still trust Kuhn Ricon.
As for washing, brushes work great. The ones that I use for meat or for fish I often rinse with boiling water as an added safety precaution. Color coded cooking thongs, shears and cutting boards make my kitchen life more bearable
