I’ve bought these before, great shears at this price.
These are good shears.
I bought these, they successfully cut through things, would recommend
These are awesome shears. I bought this exact same set several years ago and it never shipped, and when I finally noticed months later that I never received them, I contacted Woot! and they refunded my money. I ended up getting some on the mothership to give to a few people for Christmas gifts. These things can cut through rib bones of a turkey to spatchcock it without any difficulty.
Are all 4 identical?
Can you run with these?
This seems like a great deal but I’m a little wary. I’m not convinced these are actually made by Kuhn Rikon. This style of snip doesn’t appear anywhere on the official website. The only other sellers of this gift set is from a third party on Walmart marketplace and eBay. Plus, one snips on the official site is $23. To get four for $17 seems too good to be true.
Yeah, these are knock offs
Hmm. The ones I bought previously were not knock offs.
we’ve sold tons of these with no complaints. It’s possible that they’re an older design or specially made for a large retailer that have now been liquidated.
I see what you’re saying. These have a plastic lock on the handle, which is different from the ones currently being marketed by them that have a metal clasp at the base of the blade. I found this listing on Amazon, which explicitly says “Kuhn Rikon Shears” in the title, but says Generic" for the brand:
I see what you did there.
David Sedaris would be proud ![]()
Purchased these a couple of years ago and back then did a search back then since they were indeed different from the then-current style of shears. Found some YouTube QVC clips from circa 2020 of these shears with the latch. I believe these are just an earlier version of the shears sold on QVC. They work great; don’t think they’re fake.
Thanks! Old stock could explain the big discount. If they work well, I’d be fine buying them even if they were knockoffs for personal use. But since I’m not going to be using all and gifting them… I’d just feel weird if they weren’t genuine. But they are a really good price… Argh!
Possibly. But those aren’t actually sold by Walmart. It’s a third party called “Snow Sleds Direct.” Kind of an odd business to be selling kitchen snips.
Kuhn Rikon is a Swiss Co that seriously spends time with their engineering, design a little less so.
I have these. They were from a prior QVC liquidation. May not hold up as well as a $40-$50 professional shear, but still serviceable for a lot of home & kitchen uses.
This is a deal.
