Walmart lists this Lego set for $14.97.
They don’t have any in stock, but I just wanted to use it as a reference to just how crazy this $90 price is
$1 per brick is a bit much, isn’t it?
It could always be worse…
Yep. It can be worse – like on eBay. Although in all fairness they do mention that it’s not just new but “Brand New” – which has to be worth something? Right?
Lego products go up in price once they’re retired.
just because something is retired doesn’t mean it’s worth a premium! You can get something much similar to this for a lot cheaper.
The REALLY cool thing here is that you’re not FORCED to buy it. You can just move along to another sale! :w_happy2:
But how many other websites let you whine about a product that you have no intention of buying? I think if this stopped, half your traffic would stop lurking…
I have no idea if that is a good thing or a bad thing…
Let’s not forget that Woot sold an empty sammich baggy.
I don’t think we can move on.
Let’s not forget that people actually BOUGHT that bag.
Like i’ve said before, sometimes woot feels a bit like regretsy…
WELL LOOKIE THERE! We done lowered that price.
You complained. We listened. Price lowered.
If you already purchased, that money will hop back into your pockets soonish.
I miss the old Woot.
The old Woot wouldn’t have lowered the price.
The old Woot would have made us pay them for them to lower the price.
And they’d be refurbished.
Actually, we did. I made many a midnight call to the manager over the buyers. They dreaded calls from me. Invariably at 12:20am or 12:40am CT.
$22 if you part it out on bricklink…
