Can’t find an N500, but there is an N5000 pentium silver cpu. Is this supposed to be the 5000?

Yes that is a typo, it should be Intel Pentium Silver N5000 CPU

I did some digging and it is a Pentium Silver N5030 → Yoga 11e 5th Gen (Type 20LN, 20LM)
The onboard RAM is soldered, and so is the storage (I wish this was the one that could be replaced with a M2 NVMe. I still might buy it as a cheap “bag computer” for when I don’t want to haul my Chromebook or full size Lenovo laptop. There are times when I need to use MS Access and a lot of other Windows based programs, and it sucks that I opted to leave the house with the Chromebook that day. I could also boot it with ChromeOS Flex from a USB stick and have a Chromebook at the ready.

Does this model have a 3.5mm headphone port?

Yes,
Standard Ports

  • 2x USB 3.1 Gen 1
  • 1x USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 (support data transfer, Power Delivery and DisplayPort™)
  • 1x HDMI 1.4

  • 1x Ethernet (RJ-45)
  • 1x Headphone / microphone combo jack (3.5mm)
  • 1x Power connector

Hello, is it a new or a used device?

Are we sure this is a Pentium Silver? Everything I can find without model number is n4k series with the 4gb ram and windows 10 pro. If I change to either 8gb ram or win 11 then I can find models that appear to match. Anybody got a model number?

According to the Microsoft website, the Silver N5000 “is” upgradable to Windows 11 “by the customer only.”

I think it might be prudent to double check the actual processor again with the vendor. Saying that it is “not” Windows 11 upgradable rather implies a processor other than the Silver N5000.

After further research, I’m betting this is a n4120, the Newegg and other listings have n5000 in the title, and n4120 in the specs. If someone can confirm the processor used in this model for us? And provide the Lenovo model number?

Sorry for the late answer:

CPU - PENTIUM SILVER N5000

Model - 20LNS0CA00

So this one does in fact support Windows 11.

Awesome, thanks for the model number. As a heads up to everyone else, this will be a great Chromebook when flashed with Chrome OS Flex.

I’m pretty happy with this thing, it does what I got it to do, but I am having an issue “activating windows”. When I try to update or activate windows it says I have a bad product key, and I cant find anywhere to get the legit product key for windows. Suggestions?

It should have Windows 10 on it. Allow that to do auto-updates before trying to install Windows 11.
