I did! I bought a pair as soon as they came on! Thanks woot

The Woot Gods are smiling upon thee.

Why does this pair of speakers require a native USB Port?

[QUOTE=8086ed, post:20, topic:322989]
Just purchased it and realized my computer doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements. :\ Oh well, I’ll just use them when I upgrade my PC.

Yeah, I impulse purchased it too, I guess i’m screwed.

Also, speakers now have system requirements

Buy these! They’re glorified computer speakers…but they’re glorious. You don’t need a receiver - you can use a normal 1/4(or 1/8?) cable like you would for any other computer speakers (or various other forms of connection if you have a fancy soundcard).

I thought they were a great deal at $100.

Aww crap, they had requirements?

Yeah! Congrats!

How much better do the AV40’s sound than these, I wonder.

There are some jerky commenters, unfortunately. Gratuitous attacks on weight, nice.

Seriously? They put minimum system requirements on SPEAKERS? These will work with a tape deck… hell, these’ll work with a RECORD PLAYER.

For the same reason they need 1GB of ram. Bad copy/paste job.

What requirements does your computer not meet?

Hmmm…woot doesn’t seem as cheap as it used to be…must be trying to make quarterly sales targets

Could I maybe get just a little wink or something?

Don’t worry, I think those are mis-listed and someone forgot to delete it.

You can directly connect to these speakers with the 1/8th inch cable or RCA cables (should be in the box, too).

See the listing on Amazon and see the connections available in the back. No special requirements needed. As long as you have a sound card, you are good to go.

If I remember correctly from previous Woot discussions, I believe the requirements are only if you want to use some software that comes with them but is not necessary to simply use the speakers.

Buying my second pair. Ignore the requirements. I mostly use mine with an iPod or my android phone while we grill out. Wanted a new set for my office. Te sound is great, just don’t expect huge bass. Super deal!

My palm just hit my face hard.
/sarcasm

Will these work good as rears hooked up to an amp or are they meant for PC?

Dear Woot

I need a speaker bar. That is all.
