Good quality knives are the only way to go. All you need is one good chef knife, anything else is just extra. I would get this set only if the knives were made with good metal.

These look similar to the set of knives my roommate has. Perfectly fine if all you’re ever making is frozen dinners or reheating leftovers. If you’re serious about cooking, I wouldn’t buy these.
Also, please don’t buy these as a gift for someone learning to cook. My first set of knives were like these and I developed some really bad cutting habits. One of which resulting in me cutting off ~1/4" of my left thumb once I got myself a set of knives which were actually sharp enough to cut through fingernail.
