This company is well known for poor quality control when it comes to k-cups. If you like high quality french roast at a reasonable price, I highly suggest this one:
It’s basically the only brand of K-cups I buy anymore. They are vacuum sealed and utilize a lot less plastic than other Kcups for the environmentally conscious.
I don’t really see this as a deal. For example San Francisco Bay Coffee can be have for $30 (right now minus $7) at Costco for 100 count box. These k-cups are compost able, not just recycle like these Maud’s pods.
At Amazon these San Francisco Bay are currently more expensive (around $0.40/cup) but I have bought them there also for $0.30/cup.
I’ve had this brand of k-cup before and I’ve always been pretty happy with the cups. I don’t remember having any issues with exploding coffee or anything though so maybe they give their dregs to Amazon? I would be in for 1 on this deal but I’m sure I’ll be sick of the coffee after 200 cups. I like to change things up more often than that.
It’d be nice to know though what the best by date is on these things though. They don’t go bad on the day after of course but it’d nice to be know about how old these k-cups are.
K Cups are the most devolutionary product of our generation! The most expensive way to buy coffee…packaged, overpacked and delivered to your door in single serving non-recyclable pods.
If you used k-cups, you’re a bad person. https://www.killthekcup.org/
SF Bay k cups are GREAT and environmentally friendly but in my experience they go stale very quickly. Even stored in a sealed container, after a couple of days, the coffee is just not the same as it is when you first open the pack of k cups.
I discovered this brand about 5 months ago, and haven’t looked back! All of their darker roasts are amazing, and the only complaint I have about ordering direct from the manufacturer is their extremely long shipping time.
With that said, if you don’t want to take the $60 gamble on 200 k-cups that you may not like, and don’t mind waiting 8-10 days, I suggest ordering a couple of their samplers.
I’m seeing more K-cup machines (all brands) showing up at Goodwill, over near the bread machines and the fat-free grills. Methinks the trend has peaked.
K-cups leave almost no coffee grounds on the counter and there is a 0% chance the dumb dumbs in the office will break the proprietary carafe. Also, and I am not naming names, some people, even though they are supposedly college educated, can’t follow the instructions on the coffee can and figure out the number of coffee measures for a carafe of water. Hint: a coffee cup is 6oz not 8oz. Why is that so hard for liberal arts majors. And don’t give me that stuff about it should be metric. The metric system can’t fix stupid.
This isn’t an environmental soapbox, but a deal site. In this case, people who OWN Keurig coffee makers. Calling us bad people will not send us scrambling to dump our machines. Lighten up a little. Go hug a tree (and I hope it’s a ****** ***!).
It’s easier just to ignore the preachy ****** who waste their time replying to thread like this. Slickdeals is a haven for people like that as well. Do they really think we don’t know that a deal for a case of soda for $3 is going to contain a ton of sugar or that case of Spaghettios for $1.50 really isn’t good for us? I wish I had enough time on my hands to waste it letting unknown strangers on the internet know how much you dislike a product.
