Pretty good review (4 out of 5) over at macworld.com
I bought the regular headphones of yesteryear and I love the sound on them. Maybe woot can bring those back sometime as I dont need the Mic and volume controls.
I even had to have one of the pairs replaced through their warranty service and I had no problems.
Decent scores over at headphonereviews.org

Their warranty department is no longer answering emails or phone calls, and hasn’t been for a long time. I have two pairs of IP-HS2 headsets that need warranty repairs and I’ve been meaning to get around to reporting them to the local DA or whoever.
Also, it may not matter if you don’t ride a motorcycle with an iPhone, but that mic does not deal well with wind.
These are the usual work-only-with-igadgets controls, right? No Android function?
I’m still looking for a decent set…

Got these in a prior woot, along with getting the old versions on other woots back in the day. These would be so-so $70 headphones, but they are GREAT $25 headphones. I stocked up on three last time, and my two backups are still unused, or else I would get some more.

Second that. Found the warranty service to be non-existent.

I’ve had 2 pair of Maximo headphones. Both of them have had the earbud come apart. I ended up gluing them back together with super glue. The first pair also had a channel stop working, so I sent them in for warranty. They did send me a new pair, but that was a year or two ago. They do sound really good though.
Bought these in a prior woot last year. Great audio quality and microphone. Broke within a month and a half (I have a review posted on Amazon product page). Warranty from Maximo is nonexistent. Woot honored it by giving me full refund, so buy with confidence because Woot takes good care of its customers even if the product manufacturer doesn’t.
ear bud tuesday?
All Maximo ear buds are loud and have a bright sound. I like this kind of brightness but the ear pieces do come apart. They can be glued as someone suggested but sometimes that ruins them. I have owned many Maximo ear buds in the past and most of them will fail over time. I had a couple replaced but over the past year or two they have become unresponsive to emails and warranty work. The are good enough and cheap enough that if you can get a year out of them consider yourself lucky and then toss them out. Comparable sounding ear phones that will last many years are the Shures -but they will set you back over $100.
Purchased two sets of these during a previous Woot. (Flipped one set on ebay, so I can’t comment on those.) The pair I kept began giving me trouble within a month, and the sound eventually cut out completely in one earpiece. Also, having owned a number of different earbuds, I feel comfortable calling the tips that come with these junk. Forget about trying to run with these things in, the fit is very poor. I wouldn’t pay the shipping on these if they were free.
I am surprised that the fit was an issue since you have different sizes to choose from and the flexible rubber works pretty well for me. I first chose the biggest size and that kept falling out, but once I had found the right size, they worked great for me.

I need to know the same thing… a little googling and some investigation into the XDA forums hasn’t revealed anything. Anyone know anything about this? I’m down for a pair if they’ll work with my Galaxy S2.
This sums things up perfectly for me. I have gotten a lot of use out of them. I don’t use them for important phone calls because the mic is not always perfect, but the sound is good, and I don’t worry about picking up the phone with them on. They have worked out great for me at $25.
stop paying so much for these damn headphones. this pair that costs 19.99 and a pair that cost 2.99 are identical in terms of sound quality. Any difference you perceive is placebo effect.
The only benefit these headphones have over a 2.99 pair is the mic/remote but is that worth $17? not to me.
