Can anyone tell me if these are Itchy? Like a Pendleton Board Shirt, they can feel itchy, but are extremely comfortable when you wear an undershirt with it. Last thing anyone wants, is to have itchy body parts lol.

Gracias!

My blanket was itchy at first and also shed like a sheep on chemo for a while. Now, it’s nice and soft and warm. The break in period was rough but it was worth it… I guess.

I guess I’ll give them to the nephews for month, and then sneak in their rooms and commandeer them back!

These are amazing camping or whatnot blankets. 100% exactly the military ones but not necessarily OD green unless you want it.

Yes they have a smell and yes they shed off the first wash or two.

This is very much normal and after a few washes the scent will fade and the blanket will become soft and amazing.

I’ve purchased 6 of these so far, family members love them. They are great blankets for keeping warm, throws on the couch, or as a rug in a camping tent. I can’t recommend them enough.

Yes they do have an odor (strength varies from individual blanket to blanket). When you get them, take them out of the bag, wash them, one at a time, in a machine on DELICATE cycle with a small amount of detergent. If you can line dry them, that’s the best way to go about it, or you can put them in a dryer with NO HEAT, just air cycle. Run it for 30 minutes, collect the lint out of the trap, and run it again, 30 minutes at a time, collecting out the lint each time, until dry. Tumbling in the dryer does also help break them in and soften them up a bit.

I’ve told several family and friends who have also made purchases. In total we have gotten one of every color and pattern and all are nice, though the plaids are my personal favorite. For the $20 price these are an excellent value. Highly recommend them.

Are these US made blankets to make them official military issue blankets or is this just styled like them -if so please change wording to ā€œMilitary style blanketā€ and always remember folks keep the tag on blanket down if person still alive and up if they are passed away when using if a true US Military blanket!:heart::us:

Thanks for the info. We do call it ā€œMilitary Specā€.

McGuire calls it a military blanket. That’s what we go by.

I LOVE THESE BLANKETS SO MUCH! Great warmth and weight, I love the weird smell, I’m up to four of them, I think I might be at my quota. But I do want another…
