Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021

Has anyone successful redeemed a code for this? I’m concerned because a bit of research shows that Professional Plus was intended for volume licensing, so Microsoft may not recognize individual accounts using the activation codes.

MS doesn’t care. Hell, they host code publicly on a site they own that allows you to directly license Windows/Office. :S

Have done around 10 of my machines here, using the codes from woot. no issues at all.
And Yes , there were LTSC versions for corporate and business license on the “Plus”. but there were also consumer retail versions of “Plus” also. Volume gets a discount, whereas consumer does not.

Will it be supported on windows 11?

Already getting emails saying programs like this year’s turbotax and nortons will not work on windows 11.

Nevermind, I didn’t read the description fully. It will…

“Please note, this license will be tied to your device, not your Microsoft account.”

What happens if I do a clean install of windows? Or if I upgrade any parts of my PC and then do a clean install? Or if I get a new PC altogether? Will the license transfer, or is it a one-time use only?

Note: Publisher has been discontinued, so this is a chance to get a “forever license” for it before it goes the way of Microsoft Bob and Clippy.

The prior versions of MS Office for macOS (2019, 2021) were tied to my account, not a single machine (I bought copies for my Mac Mini and MacBook Air). I don’t know where you’re seeing that note, @brycescott , but if you had to wipe a machine and install new, you should contact MIcrosoft.

I’ve had a code from Woot once that was “already registered” about 2 months before my purchase, Woot promptly and courteously supplied a new one. Tip: register the code on your Microsoft account, upon receipt, to ensure it’s valid and prevent any reuse by someone else. You can download and install later the application installer.

Today, Easter Sunday, I received the email w/tracking no. (Auth. Code) from WOOT and installed the suite successfully on WIN 11 Home without any issues! I had to paste the URL [in Chrome] from the link in the instructions (the instructions linked in this product listing) and received a message that I would be downloading from a non-secure site and selected to accept download. Took about 15 min. to download and install the app. Right-clicking on the downloaded file, selecting “mount” and selecting “Open” created a DVD Drive, E: on my PC. Running “setup.exe” showed the suite downloading from Microsoft, which took a few minutes. Opened “WORD” per the instructions and entered the tracking number (Auth. Code) from the WOOT email and received a message from “Microsoft” to close the app and open any of the suite apps to finish. Right-click on the drive and select “Eject” and, all done. I’ve opened each suite app without issue, typed a short doc in WORD and saved locally and to One Drive successfully. Each opened app shows my name as registered owner in the upper right of the screen. GOOD DEAL! I didn’t see anyone posting re: install process, hope mine will ease minds in making a purchase decision. And to all who buy… Best of Luck!

FYI, I was logged into my Microsoft account while installing this suite. I don’t know if that’s necessary. I just automatically have my PC log into my Microsoft account when I boot Windows.

then when re-installation after wiping and reloading your OS, you call to activate. , when it states it has already been activated.. Activate by Phone… it is not an issue. It is , though , supposed to be bound to that machine.

I posted my experience above. Sorry I didn’t post it in response to your query. Best of luck!

TurboTax 2025 will not work on Windows 10?

Turbotax 2025 isn’t even out yet, is it? (The version I just filed with is Turbotax 2024.)

Maybe, maybe not.
:man_shrugging:
Depends on how much Intuit wants to drive people to the online version vs. the desktop version.

I have had no issues, yet one of my customers bought 5 from woot from the last sale , when it was $32 per, and low and behold , they went to activate today , and none of the keys will activate online, nor by phone…
Strange that their is a “time limit” on a legit key?
Having them contact Woot support..

Was 3 weeks since the others were ordered, called Woot, got a refund, ordered the latest for $25 each…

Just out of curiosity were you involved or monitoring their install process? Did it at all mimic my process above? I assume if they got to the point of entering the key the process was “clean” up to that point. Same OS as yours? Again, just curious because I agree there should not be a time limit if the keys are being administered properly.

All clean installs, per directions, ( mount , ect..) , and office 365 removed prior along with the so called, “new” outlook, rebooted, and they were logged into their MS account in edge, but none of the keys worked, period, either online nor by phone. I have done actually, around 100 installs of this software as an Engineer/Consultant , and this is the first time this has been an issue. The rep from Woot stated on the phone, it can happen.

That’s strange! I can maybe see Woot saying that can happen with one … but 5? Did you have to remove Office 365 prior to “your” installs? I only ask because I own Office 2013 on my WIN 10 laptop & uninstalled it (since my laptop can’t be upgraded to WIN 11) before trying to install it on my new desktop, but MS wouldn’t accept the key. That’s why I bought this version.

yes , I did remove all traces of Office 365 first. The were all virgin Win 11 installs, HP Z6 G4 Dual Gold 192 gig ram, ect also.

Thank you for answering all my questions, I greatly appreciate it. Years ago I was Novell Network Admin.(you’ve probably never heard of Novell) for our Westinghouse engineering group, so hearing from a current admin. is special. Thank you for taking the time.

Netware was without a doubt the fastest, most resilient, secure, and reliable networking software ever. My favorite was 4.11/4.2 on IPX, but OES worked/works flawlessly with TCP/IP frame types.
