Anyone know if this download for 2021 Office will work for Mac OS ?

Thanks for the detailed instructions @willyone! Not sure why the link has to be pasted instead of just clicking but it all worked just as you said. Happy to have the newest Office on my new Win 11 build!

Just a heads up - security and maintenance updates for Microsoft Office versions 2016, 2019, and 2021 will expire as of October, 2025 (this year). If you want to remain as protected as possible from potential security threats with regard to the Microsoft version of Office products, you’d want to be using version 2024, or the cloud 365 version.

If that doesn’t concern you (I’m personally running 2019 that I got from TechSpot for ~$20), this is a great price and a good deal.

My message isn’t to scare people into not buying this, it’s just to inform. Some businesses have fairly strict rules about these things, so just be aware!

No, it will not.

If this is downloaded on a Windows 10 machine that later gets upgraded to Win 11, will that affect Office’s functionality (I know under normal circumstances it shouldn’t, but didn’t want to assume)?

Thanks for any assistance.

If anyone can advise, I have Microsoft 365 and do not want to cancel/remove this subscription. I do, however, want to keep using Publisher after it is discontinued as much of my work is in this format. Will this product key allow me to use just Publisher as a desktop version? How does that work?

I would think you could? Not sure if Microsoft does anything funny with subscription vs local installations. Might not hurt to check in with them. I like publisher too. Sad to see it go.

Once installed, is the key linked to your MS account? Just want to know what will happen if I reinstall Windows 11 with a fresh start, will I be able to reuse the key?

As stated in the second orange box in the product listing …
“Please note, this license will be tied to your device, not your Microsoft account.”
This would indicate that you “should” be able to reinstall on the same machine. I, however, reserve the right to absolve myself of any liability should a reinstall attempt .. go splat!

Thanks for the assurance. Appreciate your sharing the experience.

I think I saw this addressed in an earlier forum, so apologies for any repetitiveness. Do you have to uninstall any previous versions of Office (e.g., Office 2019 or older, Microsoft 365 trial) before installing this one?

Pardon any ignorance and thanks for any assistance.
