The processor is workable, 4GB Ram is pretty lean, and the 64Gb eMMC kills it- might as well put a spinning drive in there. Too bad because the panel resolution is good. Either an M.2 SSD module or an NVMe would have made this workable even with 4GB RAM.
Looking to get my wife a beginner drawing tablet. How decent would this be for basic drawing and using of art programs (adobe, etc)?
I think Adobe would just completely overwhelm this thing with only 4GB of RAM.
Get the Surface Pro 4 Tablet (369.99)also listed instead. The I5 processor and 8gb of memory would be better suited for Adobe
It really depends upon resolution and amount of undo with creative software. 4GB is going to be very limiting and most eMMC storage typically averages about 65-70MB/s write and 80MB/s read. I have no idea how the Surface Go 2 has its MicroSD slot wired as, if its PCIe you could use a V90 MicroSD card but at that point any Surface Pro which supports Windows 11 is really the better option.
That’s not a good price either. Surface Pro 9 is out.
