Microsoft Windows 11 Home or Pro (Your Choice)

Just FYI, I bought a windows 11 pro key from woot and I couldn’t activate it. I called Microsoft and they told me the key was Windows 8.1. It was 90+ days when I verified the key, so woot refused to do anything about it.

I recommend avoiding them since they are from a sketchy source. But if you have to buy it - then verify the key ASAP.

I was gonna ask, win 11 is free from win10 upgrade and it sells for $150ish online - I was wondering how woot could sell this for $40.

Anyone else try this?

I purchased the Win 11 Pro in June, but didn’t have my build done until this week. Unable to activate… invalid product key. If you buy it, definitely try the key right away.

Reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).

Please allow 24-48h for them to respond.

Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.

Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Self-Return: Items without Li-Ion batteries can be self-returned within 30 days. Go to your Order Details to get started. The return label will be emailed from UPS.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

I also would love to know the legitimacy of these MS Keys. Are they coming directly from Amazon, or a third-party marketplace seller who is not following MS Terms and Conditions.

Microsoft has been know to blacklist keys from Volume Licensing a year or two after first assigned when they’re not being used by the original owner or company.

PS: If full legit and bought directly from Amazon… Then I’ll buy the max

Purchased Windows 11 Pro, and Visio 2021. Both worked fine. Visio was easy. Windows 11 Home to Pro was challenging, but there was a Microsoft forums post that provided a temporary key to upgrade home to pro. After that was done, I was able to enter the key provided by Woot, and success.

Windows 11 Pro Upgrade Failed Error Code:0xc004f050 - Microsoft Community

My problem is that somewhere between my initial install (it worked the first time) and reinstall (the second time the key was used!), my key changed from W11 Pro to W8.1 Pro. And Woot basically said, ha ha, jokes on you! A really good look, Woot. /eye roll

Oh, they did tell me to contact Microsoft, and they’re the ones who told me that Woot scammed me in the first place.
