For what it’s worth those batteries are worth about $200 each from a reputable dealer (plenty of dealers of questionable reputation offering on Amazon and eBay for somewhat less), so that’s over half the value at this price. Batteries are the worst part of entering the Milwaukee ecosystem, but damn they’re good tools
Rhe only problem with buying Milwaukee tools here is that Milwaukee will not warranty them. Anazon and Woot are not authorized sellers for Milwaukee. So buyers beware!
Not true, “Milwaukee relies on the manufacturing date to determine the warranty period.” We have a scrap yard with only their tools — we don’t register most of our stuff and never had an issue as long as all the manufacturer’s date labeling is intact.
I got excited seeing a Milwaukee chainsaw on Woot, but 20" is overkill for my needs. Hopefully we’ll see a deal on a 14" or 16" some day.
When this came out it was 299 with 12ah which I purchased
It was then 299 with 2 12ah and I was going to get adjusted but a death in family removed that possibility
Edit for i said 399 was 299 with 12ah then 299 for saw and 2x12ah worth it for batteries not for saw
Anyway - it’s not worth the 299 in my opinion
It’s fairly rugged but much slower and less able to get through stuff than several other cordless i have like the husky I picked up for like $60.
Call Milwaukee and they will not warranty it if you tell them you bought it on Amazon.
They replaced my Amazon purchased open box tool.
