Mirage Omni Home Theater Speakers

Still no center channel…

What a waste. Can’t recommend these speakers in a 5.1 configuration any longer if there are apparently no longer any center channel speakers available. It’s been a year since they were available.

C1/C2 were just offered a couple of days ago. You snooze you lose. Maybe they’ll show up again if they haven’t sold out.

I want my 20 bucks credit for the os3 sat.

Just 2 days ago had both center speakers listed, $549 for OMD-C2 black, but should be listed again they said including Rosewood so keep watching.

Can anyone explain why do Mirage speakers list different impedance’s like 4 ohms or 8 ohms etc. when you cant do anything about your receiver/amp impedance? A bit confused on this, anyone have the answer? thank’s

They will work fine on any receiver. I gave my mom os3’s and a s10 sub and she is running these on a cheap 1990’s kenwood receiver that I had sitting in my closet.

It sounds awesome even on that.

Thanks, Huntsetter1 But why even list different impedance? Any word on OMD-Rs

It’s a measurement that some like to see. We haven’t discussed Omd r’s yet. Most likely be in December or at ces when we do. The centers did good!

No kidding…me too…dont even have them hooked up yet…and now 20 bucks cheaper…so much for customer loyalty

Hi huntsetter1:

Are there any plans to include the Mirage Prestige S10 subwoofer in any of the pending shipments ?

Klipsch bought out Mirage and is liquidating all their old stock. You will NEVER see it again.
Jamo, also now a Klipsch company has the Omnipolar technology.Watch for cheap plastic quality twice as bad at twice the price.

As of now no. If there is enough demand we can build this though like we did on the OMD centers.

You are partially correct Klipsch does own Energy, Mirage, and Jamo. We are doing specific builds for Woot exclusively with Mirage. All are freshly built product and not old remaining stock. Omnipolar was used in the Jamo s360 series, which is now discontinued.

Really?? So what about the components then? When I ordered the S10 sub I assumed it was older stock which was fine since it was a highly rated sub.

I’m a little bit freaked out now that it might be a cheaper “equivalent” amp or driver being used. You gotta understand why a consumer shopping here has to make sure they aren’t buying copies of high end Mirage equipment that was farmed out to the cheapest builder in China based on the original specs? That kind of thing happens all the time.

Not saying that’s happening here and I’m very happy to see a Rep here, but do you have any comment on the quality of the components being used since this is brand new stock?

Also if there are any differences in the original models vs the stuff being produced now it should be noted on the item page.

Thanks very much for any comments.

I agree that the vendor should note any significant differences between older product and newly minted product.

That being said, I believe that in this instance, the current Mirage products offered on Woot are being manufactured with the same schematics and parts as the old Mirage products.

Keep in mind that Mirage shifted a great deal of their manufacturing from Canada to China years ago - without any previously feared decline in product quality. I wouldn’t be surprised if the current batches are being manufactured in the same Chinese facilities that were contracted out by Mirage years ago.

Given that the specs of the current Omni S10 are identical to previous Omni S10 incarnations, I would hazzard a guess and say that you are getting the subwoofer that you hoped for.

Perhaps huntsetter1 will provide some clarification.

I’m guessing nobody is going to return to this post, but just in case…

I just got home to my S10 sitting on the doorstep. I should be full of excitement but this post has had me troubled since I read it. Is my S10 the same s10 that I so painstakingly researched? I sure hope so.

huntsetter1, would you be able to offer any information?

hockeyinkorea, Thanks, I hope you are correct.

Thanks,
Oy
