Most damaging children's movie?
Fun poll question.
That’s Watership Down, not watershed. That’d be my vote for my era of kids movies.
For modern movies, I’d say Toy Story 3. No kid needs to see lovable toys accepting fiery death.
Bambi.

This may not be what you’re asking, but Time Bandits gave me nightmares. I’m 46 and haven’t watched it in 35 or so years.
So, yeah, that one damaged me.
Never watched it.
I don’t believe that I even read it in school.
I’d say Bambi, he loses one parent to hunters and the other in a fire! Seriously, WTH Disney?
Debbie does dallas
My obnoxious Fundie co-worker took her 12-year-old to see “The Passion of the Christ.” From the way she described her kid’s reaction, I’m pretty sure he was traumatized.
Gremlins

ET! That movie scared the
out of me! To this day (I am now 42), I still can not even look at the cover art for it!!! Just thinking about it now triggers me!!! Nooooooooooo!!!
Willy Wonka is only traumatizing if you identified with the bad kids. If you were more of a Charlie, no problem.
Any and all movies that ended with the hero winning against all odds. Nothing like reaching adulthood with the stereotypical happily ever after ending burned into your psyche only to find out that reality is waaaaay different. You end up lurching from disaster to disaster thinking that you’re a good guy and it’s all going to turn around just like the stories until you find out the only happy ending you’re going to get costs extra and is nothing like those crappy movies of your lost youth.
I saw Bambi as a kid long ago.
I cried so much , my mom took me
out to the lobby to settle me down.
Haven’t watched it since.
I did not show my kids the movie either!
Nice job, Disney!
Don’t get me started on the many reasons Disney is of the devil!!!
Never Ending Story for moi. Love it, but whole thing is creepy
Neverending Story, Wizard of Oz, and Darby O’Gill and the Little People.
