Do they make one for HD?

#5

Very cool. Got a sony for the living room, might use one of these for the bedroom…

#6

Oh my god…the hideousness is back!

Now, here’s a product that works under the Form Follows Function idea. Ugly as sin, but it works pretty darn well.

Not to mention it’d really fit in some “retro” fashion homes.

#7

So who knows what digital cable systems this WILL work with?

#8

I have 2 of these. 1 basement 1 living room both have worked fine with no issues. It is quite larger and heavy but all in all I’m pretty happy with it. good Woot!

#9

I didn’t know Motorola makes a HT receiver.

#10

Doesn’t say anything about progressive scan, assuming that it is not then.

#11

Bought this last time. Tried it for a month or two and was not impressed. Went back to my old 20 year old receiver.

#12

does anybody have that info about the previous woot off?

You guys gotta get 20 of these. Great christmas gifts, put them around the office, or simply use as building blocks.

This is the greatest item ever, for only $119! That’s not even $125

#15

I can’t keep up with Woot… Too… many… items…

Feel free to help update it, I need some sleep.

#16

that thing sure is clunky as anything i’ve ever seen before. i’ll have to pass.

#17

YOU KNOW, with home theater they say the heavier the better.

#18

That would be interesting to know what digital cable systems this would work with…then again Motorola does supply alot of the boxes for COMCAST.

#19

BIN’s on eBay are going for $175 shipped…

Search “Motorola dcp501” in completed listings.

NOT WORTH IT!
I mean. sure everyone should buy one so we can see the next woot.

But really guys, if you want a reciever go find one cheap at a second hand store or get something else, this motorola is trying to pull the “Im Great for a low price!” That’s a lie.
If you want something nice save a little bit more and get a pioneer. If you want a reciever just to do the job and nothing more you, can find one easily for under ahundo.
