Motorola One 5G Ace 2021 - Hazy Silver - Made for US

Motorola One 5G Ace 2021 - Hazy Silver - Made for US

Great phone. Arguably the best phone on the market for the price.

Works as well or better than my previous Galaxy Note, long battery life, decent (if not world-class) camera, expansion slot, water resistant, 5G compatible, fairly fast.

The bad is that it’s heavy. But that’s about it.

Is it 64GB 4GB or 128GB 6GB version? From description 64 GB 6GB version. There is no such model.

128 would make this amazing for the $$$

I bought that same stylus that’s featured for $149.99 two years ago. Check out the processing capabilities on that too. They’re impressive. Phone is amazing for everything I have on here. Never slows, always loads quickly and is perfect if you aren’t a gamer (I am not one).

From the stylus listing…

Octa-core processor and 128 GB of storage
With a Qualcomm Snapdrago 665 octa-core processor and 4 GB of RAM, moto g stylus packs all the performance you need. Browse, watch, work, and game in an instant. Plus you get 128 GB of storage, so you never have to worry about room for music, movies, photos, and videos.

From our vendor: Its definitely 64GB model - this is a unique model that was made for certain channels. I am 99% sure its 6GB also, but I will triple verify.

These descriptions for these phones are horrible. For anyone looking for a phone, some key important specs like storage and ram are a mess. Some listings give both, some give only 1 like ram but no mention at all of the storage amount, and another phone lists nothing for either.
Descriptions of an upgraded processor and why it is better than last years processor, or that a buyer might have to contact sprint, is fine and all, but where are the actual specs?

From what I can tell this thing is rapidly approaching its end of life. Only another 6 months of security updates and then it’ll be abandoned my Motorola. Not worth it unless you change your phone at least twice a year.

Only $10 more for the 128 gb version direct from Motorola. EOL for these should not be in 6 months if the phone came out last year. Please provide proof for those kinds of statements.

I agree with sarsfield. That’s a baseless claim. My Motorola is over 2 years old and still receives regular security updates

“The Ace ships with Android 10, and an update to 11 has been promised. That’s the only major platform update you’ll get. Beyond that, Motorola will provide two years of security updates, up until January 2023. Motorola is, unfortunately, behind the curve by offering just one major update, even for a budget device.”

-The above came from a review on The Verge.

Not to mention that Motorola themselves clearly state they only support products for two years, after that it’s unprotected junk. My Moto 7g hasn’t received a single security update since January 2021. Which is why it’s only good as a casual gaming device now, no way I’m doing anything sensitive on it like banking.

“Please provide proof for those kinds of statements.”

I’m not your nanny, do your own research. It’s not that hard to do a simple Motorola EOL search on Google.

You are correct. Thank you for the education! Upon learning about your basis for the claim I became alarmed about my security. I spent a couple hours researching the topic. It’s true that Motorola stopped issuing updates to my phone on April 2022. However, I have received a few Android security updates thereafter. Along with my antivirus software (paid annual subscription) and VPN, I still feel adequately protected. I’ll admit, I was fairly alarmed by discovering that I wasn’t getting updates. That was until I educated myself on Android security updates that are independent of Motorola updates.
