Recommend DO NOT BUY. Look at independent review sites - these are horrible low quality computers. I bought this exact computer - what a joke. It looked like a 12 year old assembled it in 15 minutes or less. Very cheap flimsy metal case. PSU cables connected to the wrong places, some not even plugged in. Spaghetti rat’s nest of loose wires. Supposedly “refurbished” means tested and working, right? Nope, would not boot at all, Windows installation was corrupted, C drive had bad sectors. Cooler is completely inadequate for the CPU - you’ve got about 10 seconds before the thermal limiter throttles the CPU to 130 watts and about 67% utilization. They’ve tried to trick buyers by putting a CPU power limit of 120 watts in the BIOS, assuming nobody ever checks those things or actually wants to run the i9-12900K anywhere near 100%. Really this computer is an insult to MSI buyers. The price is cheap, and the computer is junk.

So worse case, buy a new case and cpu cooler.
Still a good deal on all the components.

Who was the last one who got it? I had purchased it and gotten confirmation until just now when it says it’s now denied. I was hoping to get my first PC this way but not any more haha. Props to you man I guess lol

The parts in this rig new are around $2500 at todays Amazon prices depending on which msi motherboard is in it and what ram. But the gpu new alone is $900-$1000. Decent deal regardless!

This is not a good deal, it’s an amazing deal. As one poster before already mentioned the components are worth more than twice the price.
It looks like it was a price failure.
All the other rigs that are offered are more expensive (200-400 more) and have much weaker components.
Less ram, weaker cpu/gpu, etc.

And for poster #1: just undervolt the cpu and the cooler is fine and the cpu will run @ 100% without thermal throttling.

Again this is an amazing deal and congrats to all who bought one. I didn’t get one. Don’t need it, but for under 1300 I’d have bought it anyways…

Make sure to check your cpu cooler to see if it’s part of the recall.

I will have to check the recall. Thanks for posting.

I paid the $25 for fast shipping and it arrived today.

Booted great. Everything works. Installations and updates going now.

It’s smooth and quiet for now. Will see if it holds up to some gaming tomorrow.

For $1250+tax I am super pumped. I compared to all the other models offered and this was more and better components for less than other lesser models.

Woot!

Got mine a couple of days ago and it booted up without issue. I did a User Benchmark on it and it’s running slightly under the average benchmark compared to other systems with the configuration. However, the benchmark scores are all still fantastic. The GPU is performing as expected, the CPU is about 8% worse. The Ram and SSD are both performing the worst at about 30% under expected. However, the SSD was the expected bottleneck with the system since it’s a gen 3. An upgrade to a 2TB gen 4 will cost you about $150, or a gen 5 is about $235. Improving the RAM will run about $200 as well. (All prices at Micro Center levels so deals would make them cheaper) Overall, I’m super satisfied with how it came out. The benchmark scores are still on par with the average scores of a $2000+ custom build.

Is XMP enabled in the BIOS?

Yeah mine was trashed lol. Peripherals don’t work. Case dented in monitor has no signal. The back plate was installed all screwed up so half the connections were covered up.

Mine took about a week. Same thing the tracking number they gave me wasn’t valid. Send an email to Support and they can give you the correct tracking number or at least they did for me.
