Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee & Espresso Maker

Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee & Espresso Maker

I have one of these sitting right next to my Keurig. I use only distilled water in my Nespresso machines so I have fewer issues with mineral buildup. This Nespresso machine is NOT my daily driver, but a Sunday morning cruiser for that special treat. The brews are consistent and delicious with that light foam on top. The water tank on mine is happy on the left side or the right side and allows the machine to be stored further back on the counter. If you like to indulge yourself with strong, rich, frothy coffee excellence, with no mess, this machine is the one you want.

I’d like to echo the above statements, but I really can’t…I don’t have a Keurig. I don’t use distilled water, and our Nespresso is our daily driver, as in every morning and sometimes in late afternoon
Great machine and turned this not a coffee guy at home guy to the every other morning coffee guy at home guy.

Still been debating on this… Pod vs capsules vs machine that takes ground or even grounds beans. Not sure. The price points arent to afar.

I do keep a coffee press and a drip maker for those really special coffee beans. I keep those in my pantry next to my spare Keurigs and spare Nespresso Vertuo/Pixie fleet. I tend to pick the spares up rather cheaply or free of cost when folks decide that they don’t really like the super strong coffee or that they only drink coffee once a week where the $tarBUCK$ is an affordable option vs keeping a machine on the counter.

I also keep spare parts for all my brewers as I come across units that cannot be brought back to a fully operational state. It happens. Pumps fail, and valves fail, and even control boards fail. My wife accepts this as we haven’t paid full price for a brewer in the 20+ years the pod type brewers have been around.

Storing a couple small parts organizers is a small cost when some of these machines retail for $120 and up.

I can afford to buy new, but I find a certain joy in bringing them back to life when possible.

At Woot’s current price point, these are a good option.
When my “spare” fleet grows too large, I sometimes part with well cared for units for $50 or a good bottle of bourbon.

This is our daily coffee maker! We reuse the pods with our favorite coffee. The easiest way to empty a pod is to slide scissors into the main brew hole of the pod and snip to the edge dividing it into quarters, then you rip off the foil , empty the coffee and run it through the dishwasher! Amazon has some reusable Coffee Capsule Lids made of silicone that are the best option for refilling. We also add a paper filter, but this makes the best crema! Just be aware, it’s really hard to go back to the Keurig coffee after experiencing a espresso!

I feel the machine makers are following the business strategy as printer makers. Sell you a cheap printer with a expensive refills.

Just bought the slightly cheaper next from Woot and then ordered the 60 double espresso pack for $56. At least than a dollar a pop for reasonably good double espresso (better than pulled at Star$ IMO) it’s a great afternoon treat. Still use a pour over as my daily driver. If people are on the fence I’d say this is a great option to get into Nespresso at a low price point.

What should I expect when this is a refurbished item? In the past I did not have the best experience with refurbished items from Woot

Here’s some info!

Did not include the promised sample set. Woot offered a few different solutions, but have been silent for four days on follow-up. I’m still waiting.

Aside from the missing contents, the refurb was not in great condition. The manual and other documentation had clearly been water damaged. By comparison, factory refurbished Ring products have been as good as new.

Ok . So I received this today and as expected this, this just looks like it was returned and sold /shipped to me directly. Refurbished??? No, I don’t think so! The package is missing promised starter pack coffee pods and it is also missing any manuals etc. the plastic wrapper bag which I think originally protected the device was thrown in the box randomly along with couple of parts. I am ok with these but it just gives the impression that it was NOT factory inspected/ This happened to me multiple times with Woot and the devices were in really bad shape and even malfunctioning. I am hoping this device works fine.

Mine also arrived without the promised capsules.

I had my first NESPRESSO at work and went home to immediate search where to get this. Crema is INCREDIBLE. Taste is INCREDIBLE. I dream of this coffee. I usually moka but this baby? 1000%

That’s why I fill my own… using the kits.

I got a used product as well. No capsules included and the order disappeared from my order history. I shipped it back and did not receive a refund. I have bought from Woot for many years but this time I definitely got ripped off. This is a used product. Not refurbished!

It hasn’t disappeared from your order history. It’s on your other account. You contacted them on 9/22 from that account and they gave you a return label to return the coffee maker. The label hasn’t been used so we haven’t received the item back. Can’t refund without receiving the item back.

That wasn’t shared with me why the order wasn’t in my history in previous correspondence. I didn’t get a receipt when I dropped off. I guess I won’t be getting a refund and I should’ve waited for the receipt. If the product was as advertised, this wouldn’t have happened. I have never had issues with my woot purchases before so this is extremely disappointing.

CS can only correspond to you about the orders on the account you are contacting them from. If you use multiple accounts, it’s up to you to manage them.

If you followed the directions and wrote the Return Authorization number on the package or included paperwork in the package with that number, you’d still be properly refunded when we receive the package.

I suggest you contact CS from the account that made the purchase although they’re going to ask for a receipt since there’s no tracking info on the label we gave you.

You should contact UPS and ask them to put a trace on the package.
