NETGEAR AX2700 WiFi Cable Modem Router Nighthawk

NETGEAR AX2700 WiFi Cable Modem Router Nighthawk

Anyone know if this can be used with T-mobile’s home internet service?

We have a veteran being discharged soon, and we would like to help get his home set-up. Thanks for any assistance.

If this is correct, then no. This modem won’t work.

@ThunderThighs is correct…T-Mobile Internet will provide you with a device/router that enables you to connect to the network/Internet. It’s essentially a 4G/5G hotspot for cellular data networks. If your mobile plan has an option for tethering, it’s basically the same thing, though pricing may be different and the provided device may get better cellular signal since it likely has larger or external antennae.

From the CNET review linked below…

T-Mobile provides its Wi-Fi Gateway device, a combination modem and Wi-Fi 6 router compatible with T-Mobile’s 4G LTE and 5G networks.

T-Mobile indeed does provide a “hotspot” of sorts, but it is a $200 device.

We weren’t sure if this would be a better device and provide a better “signal” or connection for the veteran since he lives a bit far from everything.

Thanks. We were hoping someone here would know something. One of the medical staff went into a T-mobile location and asked. The T-mobile staff was not helpful. They had no idea.

Thanks again! :hugs:
