This version of the MK2 machine is pretty notorious for having terrible cabinet design, possibly the worst ever from Arcade1Up. Obviously it’s more expensive, but the Deluxe version fixed the design flaws in this cabinet.
I’m not going to go into all the issues, but if you compare the pictures of the Legacy version versus the Deluxe version on the Arcade1Up website, you can immediately see the angles on the screen and control panel are dramatically different. What it comes down to is that in the Legacy version, you look at the screen from an awkward angle, and the controls are unnaturally placed.
There’s additional build quality issues too. The Legacy version has been generally phased out, so I assume now they’re just trying to unload units that weren’t sold.
I bought mine from Woot a few months back. I’ve had no issues with it and it plays fine. No regrets!
Just wondering, how many days did it take to ship to you?
It was less than a week - I’m sure it depends on where you live of course. I had also bought the Streetfighter Legacy arcade that Woot was selling for awhile(been sold out for a few weeks) for same price as this one - I’ve also had no issues with it. I’m hoping Woot will sell more Legacy arcades here for $324 shipped - I’m a fan of the Legacy series because it comes with the lit marquee and additional games. They also don’t take up too much space. If you’re tall like me then a stool is handy to sit on while playing but not mandatory. Just take your time building it and do it right instead of rushed. Instructions are good - took me about 3 hrs to build it including the riser.
