Anyone know if the “X-Wide” is equivalent to a “4E” width?
Thanks.
My apologies. I just saw the size chart a few pictures in.
Was excited to see these until I went to the sizes offered. Go figure hubby’s size isn’t available.
Are you sure?
We read some of the reviews, and they are running “short.”
So we have been going a half size up (actually we went a whole size up on one style of New Balance) to get a good fit on a disabled veteran for most of the New Balance running shoes we have purchased over the last few years or so.
Ever since New Balance shipped their manufacturing to Southeast Asia, we noticed the shoes were getting “shorter” in length. I don’t know if is the materials they are using or if someone chose the incorrect “model” shoe last when they were inputting the digital files, but a lot of the New Balance shoes are coming in “shorter.”
Just a thought…
Have you looked at the Joe’s New Balance Outlet or the closest Nordstrom Rack (or their site)?
Our budget is really tight, so we try to save where we can to help as many as possible.
Just check the return policies on both sites.
We had one pair of New Balances that was over-the-top incorrectly sized, and Joe’s wouldn’t exchange it without a lot of hoops to jump through. Luckily it fit one of the caregivers perfectly, so we were okay with how that turned out.
Also, we have been switching out the inserts for Spenco crosstrainer ones. The inserts that come with the “newer” New Balance shoes were too thin and unsupportive. Spenco inserts are expensive upfront, but we have managed to hand wash them and switch them to other shoes when necessary. So a in the win column there!
