I figured that at least one person would get 3, though it looks like this is different than the regular Vive Pro, since the pricing seems to be at about this price.
This headset is close to 5 years old now and is no longer officially supported. It’s a great price, but unless you’re going to be playing tethered PC games, you’re going to have a bad time.
Isn’t that the only way to play on the Vive headsets? or any headset besides the Quest line? If you buy a headset that requires to be plugged in and don’t plug it in - you are definitely going to have a bad time. 
Is it correct to assume you would still need to purchase a Vive link and base station? They don’t appear to be included with this package.
The “Pro” in the description is misleading; the picture and specs are clearly for a VIVE Focus Plus. Those are wireless and don’t use tracking beacons. The battery life is advertised to be 3 hours.
I want to play VR games like Alex and Fallout 4 VR, is this all I need? I hav a GTX 980.
I’m not sure about this headset, but I will say you probably won’t be able to have a good experience with the 980 trying to play Half Life Alex.
I may be wrong but this is standalone and does not connect to pc
What’s the BEST option in the market right now, and what is the best VALUE option in the market right now, in your opinion? I know very little, but I am curious about taking the plunge.

I’m so glad I figured out that I need to always check the deal chatter. My son has been begging for VR for years, but I don’t know much about it. What I do know is that even if it looks like a good deal, if it’s outdated technology, it’s not a good deal.

I have a pretty good PC, but no desire to “stream” my games over-air. I’d much rather a wired connection. I can’t find much info about this headset online; does it support wired SteamVR interaction?
