Take off the plastic! I think there are a number of people that don’t realize that the contacts are protected with plastic and the plastic has to be remove in order to charge them.
What is the latency on these? The “Specs” don’t seem to specify this important piece of data.
I Googled around and wasn’t able to come up with that information, nor do I see it listed on the product packaging (I bought a pair). Maybe someone else will have better luck.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
I’m in the same boat as some mentioned regarding no battery life/inability to hold charge… (yes, removed plastic, lights show green charge on each earpiece)
It’s a shame because they sound great (for the literally 10-15 seconds that they play music)
At “full charge” (green light on case), I can take them out, pair them (see that the BT icon shows 40% battery), listen to 10-15 seconds of a song and see that BT charge level go to 20%, then I’ll either hear the low battery sound or they will simply power off. =(
I’ve submitted a request to return/replace, but haven’t heard back yet
I don’t know the Latency, but can tell you that they do work really nicely when i use them on a call. They sync nicely on face time calls too. Hope this helps.
Another bad battery life here. All plastic removed and although the green light shows charged they last 35-45 minutes before I begin hearing the low battery sound. M&D stated they have received a large # of complaints on these Woot purchases and will not warranty since Woot is not authorized reseller. Customer Support contacted to replace unit (gamble to see if I get a good pair)
Oh, and I have left them in the case overnight plugged in hoping to “recharge” fully.
Wow, I’m jealous you got that much battery life! Unfortunately mine still won’t hold charge past a few seconds. Woot support reached out after more than a day and I asked for a refund/shipping label. I don’t want to keep rolling the dice.
It’s unfortunate since these sound great, but maybe I’ll hold on for a sale on their newer generation…
You did remove the plastic from the contacts, right?
Haha - yes - I thought it was pretty obvious because there were little tabs to pull on each one. They do charge (case shows it going from orange to green), but they cannot hold charge at all. I’m actually sad about it!
You might give them a full overnight charge before declaring them duds. If that doesn’t work, reach out to woot Customer service and they’ll help you out.
Actually this will be day #4 with it and at least 3 full overnight charges. I keep hoping one morning it will work, but hope isn’t a strategy… I did tell the support rep to send me a shipping label for a return, but haven’t heard back yet
DO NOT BUY. These earbuds are disappointing. No bass, no vocal support, no mid support. They are as bland as a $5 headset. Please save your time.

Got mine, delivered yesterday and ordered just because… annnd woot! These are phenomenal sounding and mine worked just out of the box, were charged both box and buds. Followed instructions to remove plastic, charge before first use etc, etc… and I am blown away how good they are now let’s hope they last but there’s nothing to complain for me… only complaint
If any is the box and buds do get uncomfortably hot when getting charged and a min or so after I unplugged…
Maybe I took a chance and got luck or Lucky just for now
Edit: as a reference. I use AirPods Pro as my regular, while I’d say both sound amazing these ones have a unique sound signature and it’s unfair to compare AirPods Pro experience on iPhones with other high quality earbuds and I say these M&D are high quality for their time (dated now)
I will be returning the pair I bought. They sound good and both earbuds work but the battery life is terrible – less than an hour, even after charging overnight. All plastic tabs were removed so no issues there.
It’s unfortunate but it is what it is. It was worth a shot.
I received today charged it for about 1.5 hours till it got fully charged. It lasted about 3 hrs at 60% volume which was loud enough for indoor use. Sounds absolutely amazing, I had heard the sound on these before so that was never an issue. With the battery, I guess I got lucky.
Case and earbuds itself are bit bulky because of the material used which is the only con I could think of. However, it does give a premium feel and build quality
What a steal deal it is if the battery lasts!
I would be really curious what the ratio of good to bad batteries is. (I know the return policy, I just feel bad returning things since I know they often get thrown out or sold for pennies on weird discount places like Woot) One to two “good” posts for each bad one… Yeah I’m mostly just struggling to not buy these.
I picked up 2 pair both work well…2 hours of playtime before putting them bacj for a charge. Im waiting on a 3rd paur hoping they work well too. I had Samsung buds plus which sounded just ok. Nowhere near as good as these… the samsungs died after 2 years,. These are worth the effort.
Well I got two of these. In one set, the right earbud doesn’t work at all. In the other set, the left earbud doesn’t work. So I paired the right from my tortoise shell set with the left from the gray terrazzo set. Lol. I love the sound. A lot. Just wished the 2 dead earbuds could just Frankenstein their way back into life…
Hi there. Make sure you look for those stickers covering the charging thingies.
