Nonsense. This is the 2025 model. The 2024 model (HW-990D) is still in the 1200-1500 ranges NIB.
Is there a notable distinction between the model years?
Maybe the old sticker, Woot had the D regularly for about $890. Good deal on that too, bought one myself.
Does this actually sound better than say a Klipsch Cinema 800 soundbar system with subwoofer and wireless rear speakers?

I love Klipsch speakers…bought my first floor standing ones fro. Woot years ago.
The samsung 2024 model is amazing. Maybe not as good as klipsch…but i love the q990d. The atmos is great. They say 11 channels on the bar but there are more speakers than that. This is a great soundbar for anyone that doesn’t want to deal with all the aspects of a receiver.
Before I bought the D I looked at what the difference the F had and it didnt seem to be worth waiting for, but the sub cjanges at this point and this price could wasily be worth it.
Well, not true, best buy more expensive, but even if it was the same price it would still be a deal.
I would like a new improved design, but year after year Samsung completely redesigns the internals, to the point the soundbar sounds completely different every single year, regardless of having the same drivers. And they also improve bugs. So I would bet the F will be worth it over the D, as the D was over the C etc.
It would sound a trillion and a half times better, and will perform a quadrillion times better. The cinema 800 was absolute mega junk from Klipsch, with terrible reviews for good reason.
Best deal I’ve been able to find except for an Ebay purchase scam of $844.21 New and without a manufacturer warranty. Thanks to Ebay Money Back Guarantee I was able to get a refund and put it towards this legitimate and awesome Woot.
