Why did we do this?
VPN use is based on trust. When users connect to our servers, they trust us to provide them with the security and privacy they need ā without peeking over their shoulders. It takes more than just a guarantee to maintain and cultivate that trust.
By engaging PricewaterhouseCoopers AG Switzerland as an independent Big Four audit firm, we hope current and future users will understand that we take our no-logs claim seriously. We will always do everything we can to protect your security and privacy, and we will never log user activity for anyone.
This assurance engagement is not the end of that process. We will conduct more assurance engagements in the future, and we are also exploring ways to offer constant third-party no-logs verification.
We do not track or log customerās browsing data. We only gather the bare minimum amount of data required to provide a stable and secure service. Pricewaterhouse-Cooper AG Switzerland has examined our servers to check our claim.
Definitely double check the website first. They usually have even better deals at some point through the year.
Iām paid up through the next 4 years I think lol
By chance do you work for NordVPN? I have a question on how this is written and clarification.
Definitely check long term prices online first. Iām pleased with NordVPN service, have had it for years, and recommend it.
Interestingly, I turned off auto-renewal on my Nord account a few weeks ago, and this past weekend they gave me a 3 year renewal deal that was so good I couldnāt pass it up. I think they wanted to make sure not to lose me as a customer. Now Iām also paid up into 2027. :ā -ā )
BTW, they also now have a local āmeshā networking option to connect your devices as if they were all together on a local network, similar to what Tailscale does. I havenāt tried it yet, but since itās āfreeā if you use their VPN service, itās worth a look.
How soon after purchase do you have to activate? Can I hold off activation a few months? And is it only for new consumers? Iām paid through next year and wanted to maybe activate it after mine expires. Thx
The listing says you can redeem a code and it will extend your paid time but if you have questions, I would check with NordVPN directly.
- If you have 6 months left, you can stack codes and extend
(Please note: I donāt work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
You might want to ask them if they found a better solution to block people using NORD from sending out spam - my last encounter found they had arbitrarily disabled access to any email servers if NORD is running. Not a well thought out policy⦠let us know, please.
Nah, I actually use PIA but the biggest question for VPNs is if they keep logs.
I paid $79 for 3 years and 3 months of service from PIA for their back to school deal a few months ago, Iāve used them over 5 years now.
Missed that. Thank you
