Oakley 12-Gauge Stainless Steel Watch

I would have no problem with a 500 dollar quartz watch provided it was a well known brand. If you are diligent you can find quartz Tags for less than 600. But for a nonwatch company watch that just seems like you’re throwing you’re money away, especially when it’s not even 200m water resistant.

Hi-actually that product page is for a titanium model that is much more expensive than this SS model. For price of this one on Woot you can get Citizen Atomic clock eco drive titanium.

Would much rather have a Swiss movement versus a Japanese. Also, the eco drives actually have an internal battery that is charged by the solar eco function, once that battery hits its end of life . . . time to throw out the watch.

Two one star reviews on Amazon:

Different colors, but doesn’t inspire confidence. Couldn’t find a review for this version.

The watch is designed by Oakley and the movement is made by the Swatch Group which owns the vast majority of Swiss watches, including Omega, Tissot, Rado, Longines, Blancpain, Hamilton, etc.

THANK YOU !
I read the reviews ,definitely will pass on this one.

Nope, I’m sorry, the answer we were looking for was “Woot was drinking heavily late on a Sunday night and completely forgot about the dedicated Accessories and Watches site they had for watches lacking biometric or other activity-related functionality.”

Thanks for playing!

And I imagine that all the companies you mentioned give their watches more than a 90 day warranty. Sorry but it’s a stinker of a deal no matter how you try to spin it.

From Oakley’s site:
“All authentic Oakley timepieces are warranted for two years from the date of purchase against manufacturer’s defects. Coverage is valid only with proof of purchase from an Authorized Oakley Timepiece Dealer. Normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the product, or negligence is not covered under Oakley’s Warranty Policies.”

Now, since Woot is not an authorized dealer, it is only 90 days? Wow!!

Fine I’ll give you that, it still doesn’t detract from the fact that you’re paying 500 bucks for a WATCH brand no one has heard of with a 90 day nonmanufacturer warranty. I don’t know about you but if I’m plunking down 500 bucks for a watch I want something more than hope that it will last. With the brands you listed you have some reassurance because of their history that you will be able to get it serviced. Add that you are getting something that will stop working in 2 to 3 years with a dead battery. Just too many red lights for my taste.

My favorite part was the Woot staff getting a quality post.

What is this, the Academy Awards here? We start patting ourselves on the back now?

I received this exact watch as a gift from my brother about two years ago. Although at that time, this was about a $1,500 watch. I absolutely love it! It demands attention, that is for sure. I have not had a single problem with it other than a dead battery. That is not a big deal.

Pros: Sturdy, eye catching, good for casual or dress.

Cons: Heavy, dials do dig into the hand a bit if you wear it on your left wrist, still haven’t figured out how to use all of the functions on it yet.

All in all, great watch and worth the $500 investment. I have worn in pretty much every day for the past 2+ years and it still looks brand new.

We all require a lot of self-affirmation here.

That was my first taught too… ouch , can you imagine taking a fall with those spikes on your wrist…
