It’s almost like (and forgive me if I’m missing your point - some of us are really, really, really slow) you’re suggesting that a watch belongs under the “accessories & watches” tab, rather than other random tabs on Woot.

Time to check out the product page

Hi-actually that product page is for a titanium model that is much more expensive than this SS model. For price of this one on Woot you can get Citizen Atomic clock eco drive titanium.
What?!? You consider today’s product a sport item? Don’t you know that (insert athletically incorrect activity here) isn’t a REAL sport?
If it involves bodies in motion, if it involves getting outside, if it involves getting your blood pumping and your heart rate up, then it’s a sport as far as we’re concerned. Except bullfighting. We have no idea what’s going on there.
By this logic, pretty much anything that doesn’t involve sitting or laying down is a sport, or can be considered one for sales purposes.
This stuff happens more and more, and I’ve been checking Woot out less and less. It’s like they are trying to make it worse. A $500 watch on Sport Woot?
I own this watch and a few other Oakley watches. I am in business and travel a lot, this watch and all of the Oakley watch line up, turn heads. In meetings I catch people mesmerized by my watch versus my speech…sigh! Just wait until the Samsung Gear gets here I ordered off Woot last week. (I’m a techy nerd)Will the Gear replace my watch collection? Perhaps on a day to day basis but certainly not for occasions such as dinner meetings, business meetings and other meeting that require social interaction without distraction. I don’t need any more distractions than I already have at those times.
Am I missing something? It’s a 500 dollar watch from a company known for sunglasses. Which makes me think that it’s something that they got someone else to make and stamp the Oakley name on. With a 90 day warranty I wouldn’t touch that unless it was at least 75% cheaper. As other people have noted before me, for less than this you can get an automatic chronograph from a real watch company like Citizen or Seiko that carries a five year warranty and will be around long enough to give to you grandkid.
To make matter worse (nothing against Woot), why would anyone pay $500 for a quartz watch? Crazy.
