Purchased one about 2 months ago, major known defect I found out from Phillips rep that it will not turn on once it warms up. Google it. They replaced it with the same model. Had to return to Woot because that one did not work either.

Me too, bought two and both quit! Buyer beware!

These are (Refurbished) so I’m betting the “major known defect” has been resolved on these. Who knows, maybe they will send the one you returned to me after it has been updated with the fix. I hope you didn’t scratch it before you returned it. If it does have the same problem you have pointed out, I will come back and let you know I was wrong. I’ll probably whine a bunch too!

Unfortunately, the “major known defect” has not been resolved on these. We purchased two from Woot back in October when they were on, and it only took a few days before the problems started. The TVs will not turn on (happens with BOTH of them, not just one). The secret is to unplug and let sit for a few minutes, then plug back in and try turning it on. They still work, but highly annoying to have to do this several times a week. I wonder how long we’ll be able to unplug and plug back in to get working, before they stop working all together! Pieces of junk. If I knew we could return these right now for our money back, you bet I would.

ours has quit already and for some reason Woot does not even show the purchase??? I’m sure that will help solve the problem.

Developed the “unable to turn on” problem last week and finally died this week. Philips 90-day warranty covered replacement, but will be with a different, but similar model (magnavox).

Have had no problem with the Philips warranty replacement process so far.
