More accurately, this is a USB-A to USB-B cable. This will work with a multitude of devices. The devices I have that use this cable: Xerox printer, Canon scanner (x2), MIDI controller keyboard, etc. This is not restricted to just going between a computer and a keyboard.
Am I missing something here?? This is a regular USB cable for printers, scanners, etc. There is no 5pin round MIDI connector that I can see in the pic. I have a Yamaha Clarinova electric piano with a MIDI round 5pin port.
The first bullet lists compatibility. Here’s a pic from the first Yamaha item listed and it shows this type of connection:
I have an older Yamaha Digital Piano that takes the round 5pin MIDI interface. I guess something changed with later models. I suggest Yamaha owners look to see what they have
