Question About Replacement Practice/Policy

Happened to hear Amazon delivery today and caught the driver as the driver was getting out of the truck again after returning one of my two Woot orders back to the vehicle. There was a white powder on the outside of the package which matched what was supposed to be inside as it was an Arm and Hammer cleaning powder. The driver told me of the problem when he saw that I was coming out to ask about the missing second package. As of about half an hour ago the package was still “out for delivery.”

Question - will the item automatically be replaced? Or will it be a case of a refund that takes day to process and then pretend that the order never existed?

I sent the information to Woot customer service but not sure how long it will take for them to get caught up over a long holiday weekend plus however much time that it takes for Amazon Delivery to inspect the package before doing anything but past experience is two or three days although the long holiday could slow that down.

You might get the option to replace it if they still have it in stock, but they’ll usually offer a refund, and the returned order info is still on your account. I’m guessing you’ll hear from them by Wednesday if they’re not too backed up. It’s usually best to mention what resolution you’re looking for when contacting them to expedite the process.

Hi there. Unfortunately, Amazon delivery doesn’t tell us when they don’t deliver something so we can’t auto replace something.

When reaching out to customer service, always let them know your preference - refund or replacement if possible.

Unfortunately, it looks like we’re out of inventory so you’ll be getting a refund from CS when they get to your contact.

I had asked for replacement when reporting this but apparently I am not worthy.

EDIT: Amazon shows this in stock for overnight or next-day delivery.

while we get inventory from Amazon to sell, we can’t just take stuff from Amazon’s (or 3rd party sellers) inventory. They give us a list and specific quantities of what they want us to move. When those are gone, they’re gone. I’m sorry.
