No you paid for a Copperhead on the Wootoff, thats the one I missed, because I had a doctors appointment, this is a Diamondhead.

I mean a Diamondback.
I own the razer diamondback (model: rzd-1600) and I really like the shape of the mouse and the responsiveness of it. With that said I cannot stand the side button placement of this mouse… The two buttons being one piece of plastic are virtually useless for gaming since it is hard to distinguish which button you are pressing on at times. This is the second razer mouse I have own (the first was not optical), and I would go back to the first one if I could. However, I currently use my Diamondback for everyday things, I just dont rely on it for gaming due to the button issues. Great mouse for $25.00.

No, this was at least two years ago. Anyway, my gripes are the shape and the software. The shape here looks the same, and I admitted that I didn’t know about the software anymore. Anyway, if you have small hands it’s a fine mouse.

Yup, the Razer Pro is a rebranded/colored diamondback 2G. Looks like the shape here. That was my first razer mouse. I use a diamondback 2g at work. As mentioned, the side buttons are not conveniently placed at all, but I hardly use them at work. It took me about a week or so of use before I “got used” to the Razer Pro, and my coworker threw hers out before giving it that long, so razer mice definitely have a different sort of feeling out there that you come to love or hate.
At home, I have a Copperhead that I absolutely love. The side buttons are much better placed on that mouse. It replaced a G5 that just wasn’t comfortable to me, once I got used to the responsiveness and lightness of a razer, I found them in general to be great mice. Never have had any driver issues, either. I’ve had it, used it heavily for about a year, my single complaint is that the scroll wheel LED stopped functioning. Big whoop.
Be it razer or another brand, a high DPI mouse will enhance your computer experience if you use big monitors (I have dual 24"s at work, and can’t handle a regular mouse anymore. But when I have someone else get on my computer to show them something, almost invariably, I get “What is WRONG with your mouse?”
If this were a Copperhead, I’d pay a little more just to keep a spare on the chance they stop making them. I missed them last time they were up.
Wireless mice often experience latency issues, and don’t power on until you move the mouse, then power off when not moved for a bit, creating a millisecond lag, which is important to some FPS gamers. Also, they tend to have lower DPI settings, which a lot of gamers also dislike.
The anagram gods say it’s a good mouse —
Razer Diamondback Three G Gaming Mouse

I don’t know why anyone would get a gaming mouse with a cord.

QED
Almost all “non gaming” mice (wired or not) go to sleep after a time of non use. This is an unacceptable behavior in gaming. The Razer line of mice do not.
I have owned four different models of Razer mouse. I have used them on Windows and Mac. Only one of them disappointed, and this isn’t it.
BEST MOUSE EVAR.
I almost reconsidered and bought, but the ‘always on’ light is a deal breaker for me. As if there aren’t enough glowing parts on PCs already these days.
I had one of these a while ago for retail of about 60$. Worked great 100% until the cord started having issues. The cord (the part that was at the usb side) started coming loose from the usb adapter and started having issues connecting. If I twisted it a certain way it would work, but eventually it just stopped working. Definitely my favorite mouse I’ve used so far and lasted me a good 8 months before these issues. If I didn’t already have a Logitech G5 and another gaming mouse waiting in its case I would be in for 1.

garbage mouse with unstable drivers
AVOID

Sounds like someone’s a little technology impaired.
I have a copperhead & diamoundback.
The picture on woot looks like a copperhead. The original diamounback (not sure if its ever been revised) has a more see through back with no snake logo on it. The copperhead has the 3 snake logo and is solid black like the one in the picture.
Also the diamoundback was never marketed as “3G”.
Looks like it could be quite a deal.
i was just trying to figure out if this mouse is a right handed mouse or if lefties can use it too

It goes both ways. Wink
My daughter has been wanting one of these for some time, but she had wanted the blue one. She’ll make due with a green one, errr two green ones. I got her a backup too.
in for one. been waiting for the longest time for this thing to show up again, since the wootoff. thanks w00t. just saved me 30 bucks cause i was going to buy the M$ habu or the reclusa.
I enjoy the lights! My PC area is like an airport.
I’m tempted to get one of these, I just wish they had the blue version available to match my glowy blue keyboard and tower.
Geeeee 2 months without looking and its still Roomba’s and Laser Mice.
Go figure.
I’m giving this mouse a try. If nothing else it can be my compaq’s wife. Real mice have balls!
I’ve been popping heads for more than a decade with the mouse that shipped with a compaq… back when that meant something. They say if you have to lift the mouse while you play its not sensitive enough. I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t pony up and give it a try before I respectfully disagree.
All kidding aside. I’m sure it’ll be a nice upgrade. I’ve been using the ball-mouse since the bluetooth mouse that came with my PC was a load of carp and my good mouse doesn’t have vista drivers.
I love woot for selling these. Every time they sell them, I buy them and I am never disappointed.
ps: check it out, i’ve got a black square cause I’ve wasted so much money here.
