Here are a few (6) reviews

Pretty good reviews on Amazon - 4.3 out of 5 stars.

I am sooooo confused! The product description says it is made of kiln-dried cedar. But then it mention Cunninghamia, which is a cypress. And then the Merry Products page says that it is fir and hardwood. So what wood is this made of? Really makes a difference here…

Good question. Cunninghamia is a cypress, but is sometimes called a Chinese fir or Chinese cedar, even though it is neither. See explanation here.

Fun Fact: these make excellent outdoor bar carts.

I bought a similar potting bench from Sam’s after seeing this as my inspiration. I definitely don’t garden…

Very lightweight, not sturdy at all. Significant leg wobble under moderate load. If used outdoors, a penetrating sealer will be needed.

I bought one of these in the past. Not bad for the price. I too thought it might be flimsy too, so I used wood glue in addition to the screws they provided. Much Better. Mine is in the garage, so not a lot of exposure, but holds up well. If outside, I would use a teak sealer on it.

Cunninghamia is not cedar, but “China fir”

Nice bench – well designed. Bought it a few Woots ago. It lives in our garage, so no exposure to elements, and it is very sturdy and useful. It has nice storage and organization. It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it exceptionally well. Can’t be beat for the money.
