I know this one! Factory refurbished means either the manufacturer or an authorized company did the work. Refurbished means purportedly re-done by someone but not necessarily factory-approved.

oddly enough, it’s 1st time I’ve noticed any specific difference in a product listing–since joining Woot! 3 years ago.

In retrospect it’s obviously self-explanatory to some extent. I guess I’d assumed factory refurb would include better warranty coverage.
