Segway G30P Ninebot Max Original Scooter Refurbished

Segway G30P Ninebot Max Original Scooter Refurbished

Is there anymore info on how these were refurbished? Were they refurbished by Segway themselves or a third-party? Were the batteries replaced with new ones? Were the tires replaced?

I’m not going to pretend I understand many of those words. Like “is” and “on” and “or.” Nor do I know where they were refurbished. But I got one of these puppies when they came up end of June. And as far as appearance goes, I couldn’t really tell mine was refurbished. No noticeable visual defects at all and the tires appeared to be brand-spankin’ new. Fun as heck too! Oh, and if you’re using it for commuting, it’s just about the cheapest mode of transport out there. Even cheaper than food costs to fuel your feets.

Hi there. These are refurbished by a third party. Battery and tires would be checked and replaced if needed.

I didn’t get a Segway. I got a cheaper Hover-1 Alpha. Mine was refurbished by iRecertify. It looked brand new out of the box. Brand new tires. As far as I could tell, the brakes, throttle, handlebar covers, etc were all new. No idea if the battery and motor are new since they are inside the deck and wheel. I get half the max advertized range when riding it full throttle on the sport mode. That seems about right since I am close to the max weight supported and I assume the max range is calculated on the standard mode. So either the battery is new, or it is working as good as a new one would be expected to.

Do these have the 2nd gen motor in which they have 9 as the starting number in the serial.

Awesome Question.
I’d like to know too but we are approaching the end of this sale so I pulled the trigger anyways…

Does that mean that the battery or motor already have some usage? If so, would it be minimal?

A couple questions if someone could please help me out.

  1. Who is the 3rd party refurbishing company?

  2. Does that company honor the “One-year or 180-day for different parts” limited warranty as listed in the product description in addition to Woot’s own 90-day limited warranty?

  3. Will Segway still honor their warranty on this scooter considering I bought it from Woot which is essentially owned by Amazon?

TIA

Thanks for the catch.

  1. One of our 3rd party vendors.

  2. That was an error. We’ve ended this sale and will contact customers. It is a 90-day woot warranty.

  3. It does not have a Segway warranty.

Have you guys received your scooters? I placed an order on the night of August 17th. Label was made the next day. Currently says in transit to UPS on the 22nd. No updates since.

Seems like this order is going through some hiccups.

I’ve contacted Woot CS.
