Read the Amazon reviews about these “refurbished” Sharks from woot before purchasing.

I bought one of these off Woot. While I can order it to clean one room by opening the shark app and hitting the clean button, I have never been able to get it to only clean one room with the scheduler. So I cannot order it to clean the room it is located in at say 2 in the morning every day, unless I am up at 2 AM to open the app. The scheduler sends the thing to clean every room in the house. I have seen similar complaints online. My only complaint so far is with the Shark app scheduler.

get one for each room you want to clean…LoL

Then I would have multiple robots that cannot be scheduled to clean a single room. It only uses the map it creates when I personally open the app and indicate which room(s) and click the clean button. The scheduler cleans the whole house.

Got one from a previous Woot as a replacement for an older model Shark. It definitely has more power, and the mapping feature has worked fine for me.

Like with all Sharks, the biggest drawback is their terrible, terrible app. It’s slow to launch, slow to update status, and seems to only apply half the settings I try to set on the first attempt. As an existing Shark owner, I knew I just had to muscle through the initial setup until I could get the mapping/scheduling completed. After that I’m typically pretty hands-off and just let the vacuum run on schedule. If you’re the type who likes to do things from the app on a regular basis, steer very clear of any Shark products.

Note for existing robot vacuum owners: this model does not recognize magnetic boundry strips. It rolled right over all of the boundries I had set up for my previous Shark. Boundries for this model are controlled strictly via the mapping feature.

Pro Tip: these come with single-brush side brushes, but you can get generic triple-brush replacements that make a ton of difference, especially with larger items like cereal pieces & kibble. These are the ones I ordered, but you can just do a search for “Shark UR2500SR Side Brushes” and find others.

Fun fact: these can’t distinguish a fresh pile of dog poop from normal floor dirt. I don’t think any can, but yeah.

I bought one of these about 1 month ago from Woot. I can tell you that I am absolutely amazed! I had on old 1st gen roomba 10 years ago and the difference is crazy. This robot does an amazing job cleaning my tile floors, you can tell it where you dont want it to go, and it self vacuums out the robot into an easily emptied container. We have several cats in my house and this picks up an amazing amount of hair and debris each day. My floor is always so clean and it makes it much easier on the cleaners every other week. At this price, to me its a no brainer. Try it out and you will be happy you did!

I’ve got 2 from woot, one I’ve had for years, and never had a lick of trouble.

BUYERS! Don’t, DON’T accept the map until you are 100% happy with it. It makes it sound like it will keep improving the map but it will NOT once you accept.

I’ve had 3 shark vacuums, including a self-emptying one and they all have broken in exactly the same way. The wheel arm that connects to the spring (which allows the wheel to “bounce”) breaks off rendering the unit unusable. Shark has great customer service, but they only offer a replacement refurb for a cost. All happened after about a year, and at different houses. If you check ebay for the wheels, you’ll see how much of a problem this is.

After being burned the third time, I got an Roomba i3+ during a black friday sale and I couldn’t be happier with the upgrade. Fantastic smarts, after it is done mapping, it never even bumps a wall, and can schedule individual rooms, put up virtual walls in the app and more.

My advice would be to forgo this offering and wait for an Roomba sale instead.

Me too. I have had multiple Roombas over the years and one other Shark self emptying. To be clear, none of the Roombas had mapping function. This maps 100% better than the other Shark. It’s only been about a month but I’m very happy with it.

I set the area around the litterboxes as a room and send it there often. It can’t get in between them, clearly but over all it helps a lot with tracking litter. I don’t really have a problem with “accidents” but it’s probably a good idea to eyeball the area before starting the job.

I have 2 of these from the last sale. Both came in great condition and a step up from the camera system models that I’ve had for 2 years. Wife wasn’t impressed when she came home to a swarm of 4 sharks cleaning the living room as I sipped on a coffee XD
