Does anyone know whether these could be used as a surface with ice skates?
They’re not a hard rubber, just a relatively soft foam easily cut with scissors. They’d probably be ok for a season or for casual home use, but any real skate traffic would probably eat them up fast.
That said, this is the same tile available in plenty of local discount stores for cheaper. 40% cheaper per sq ft at harbor freight, for example, if you have one near you.
I have these. I think they are great for tumblers, gymnastics or any other ugh indoor sport.i do think thst these are not sturdy enough for ice skaters even with shields on skates to last long at all. These are not industrial as you may need for that. I would say no
And I agree with comment made before me. These would be eaten up fast with any skater.
One last thought. I also do not think the puzzle edges would stay together with anything like a skate even with protector on walking on it.
Currently at WM -
1/2 inch is 19.99 for 48 square feet in Gray/Blue
In Black it’s 18.89 for 24 square feet
Same brand? Not seeing it.
At this level I don’t think brand matters considering Sivan is just a distributor of no-name stuff.
The mats are essentially all the same except for the patterns or raised ridges. The Walmart brand is Everyday Essentials - Their house brand (Though every retailer has the same 'Everyday Essentials brand in house)
WM just grabs these from some Chinese distributor.
The Sivan mats are by Sivan Health and Fitness - Which is also Sorbus/Matney/LED Concepts/GGI Int./Mop Around/Sell Below Cost Corp/Ideal Ventures - All registered trademarks of the Goldstein family
They are distributed out of a warehouse space in NJ.
Neither one are “Brand name” items so comparing them based on that is pointless.
Also with the free 90 day trial of Walmart+ you don’t have to pay shipping.
