You beat me to it! I had to read the warning. I had no idea these things were sharp and could injure people! These knives are dangerous, and I don’t recall reading anything on the sales page about it. If dropped on a person they can injure or kill!
Funny story, my Temu knife also came in the mail today. It was in an open ended plastic bag with a plastic handle, and a scratch on the blade. I used it to open the Smith & Wesson package. There were no warnings concerning the Temu knife, so I assume it couldn’t injure or kill anyone.
Contact with knife may result in stabbing. Hard contact.
I think I know why these are so inexpensive.
At least on mine, the flexible steel piece that locks the blade open is too long. It doesn’t engage, and consequently the blade won’t lock open.
I’m going to disassemble it and try to file down that component.
Or you could mention it to Woot customer service. I know they’re sold out, but with pictures, you may be able to get a refund. Funny story, these are branded 9 miles from where I live.
