The key part of that statement being “same price a year ago.”
The video says that the CPU runs at 1.4ghz while Woot’s description says that it runs at 1.3ghz. My guess is that the video is correct since CPU frequency is generally an even number.
Hallelujah – it looks like Sony finally gave up on forcing its horrible Memory Sticks onto consumers. It was failed technology from the start for many reasons but Sony insisted on its use in all their products. In fact, they didn’t even support SD cards at first until it was obvious that it was a losing battle. I refused to buy several very good Sony products because of Memory Sticks. This appears not to support MS at all.
They may be actually talking about a Tablet S vs an Xperia Tablet S. I got my Xperia Tablet S a year ago, pre ordered and the Tablet S’s were on Woot… go figure.
Whew! Saw this and thought I was going to be sick.
Picked up a different manufacturer’s 7in tablet yesterday from a box store with 8gb and the same processor for about half this. $20 for a 32gb SD and I think I can still keep my breakfast down.

Same here-- bought the (non-Xperia) Tablet S, still going strong. Would pick this up if I had the need for another tablet (at this price range, it is a good deal-- for people like me who use it for the basics, i.e. Netflix, FB, Instagram, IGN, NFL, NHL, videos, pandora, etc.), total confidence in Sony.

I have the older Sony and it makes a nice bedside companion with the dock. Doze off to videos/music/whatever and it wakes you up with 5 different alarms. Love the remote control capabilities - should be required on a tablet. Good piece of kit!
UPDATE, Woot got right on the problem. Got me the info I needed. Small adapter in the packaging had fallen out. I found it with a little digging. I expect this will solve the matter. Thanks to Woot.
Ok, did a little looking. The cradle is not for the Unit it was sold with. The cradle lists that it is compatable with SGPT12 and SGPT13. It does NOT list the SGPT122.
The tablet fits in it, but that is all. It does not charge it or connect, nor that I can tell, is there a way to make it.
Disappointed with Woot. First time, but what is the use of the cradle, part of the purchase appeal, if it does not charge?
Would love to hear about this. Would love it to just be me, and that Woot has the correct cradle somewhere (two actually, how many I bought).
