Ain’t got no FHSS here; Jumping Frequency all the way!
*Jumping Frequency technology is compatible with all your legacy FHSS Bluetooth devices.
is this brand any good
wife just got a bluetooth phone, so can use another headset…
How loud is this thing? Is it usable in a car? My Moto headset isn’t.
I can’t find any reviews anywhere
Robert
is it the in-ear style of earpiece?

Thinking about getting one for me and my Dad so we can smack talk while playing on the PS3.
In for 2…the closest I could find was the 500 but that one was like $40 on amazon.
Thanks CrazyBear for the review.
The pictures on the review show it as in-ear, which was what I wanted to try (should work better in a car).
In for 2.

Review Delivered
I haven’t finished reading it yet. Thinking about using it to chat online with my PS3.

Oddly enough, in that review, and a couple others I found, it’s referred to as a 600, not 600BT, and has a USB-A mains adapter and an A to mini-B cable. But woot’s image shows a mini-B wall adapter, and an A to mini-B cable. So it looks like packaging, at least, may have changed with the change in model designation.
Oh, and the Soyo logo is (poorly) 'shopped in on some of the pictures in that review you linked. Rather comical misprojection going on.

Cons:
Thanks; I was wondering if we got an extra one or if woot just pictured it separately. If reviewers are complaining, then it’s pretty sure we only get one. (I wouldn’t expect woot to be bundling extras you don’t get retail, anyway…)
Even assuming that earpiece is silicone (rubber) rather than silica (sand), I’m not sure how comfy this’ll be. Looks too big.
OTOH, I just seem to have lost the earpiece for my headset yesterday. It does seem… timely of woot.
Another Review Site with different pictures it also includes the differences in the wall adapter/cable fiasco.

Still debating on getting them. Would prefer a Jawbone or something with very good noise canceling. Still a decent headset.
Here is another review.
I need a new bluetooth headset, but I don’t understand why this doesn’t come with a car charger. Isn’t that where most people end up using bluetooth headsets?
Hmm, this is the first problem I’ve had in a few years of wooting. Every time I click on ‘buy it now’ it links me back to the Yahoo! Shopping link. Tried logging out, hitting ‘buy it now’ and after prompted to put in my user name/password it once again links me to Yahoo! Shopping, like an endless cycle. This seems like a good deal. Good reviews, Bluetooth 2.0 for $9.99, and the first bluetooth I’ve considered from woot. Guess it wasn’t meant to be. Woulda been my third woot in the last two weeks-guess I’ll have to drink a bottle of Tøøthstejnn to forget about the one that got away…
Finally… what looks like a really good quality headset for a great price. I only need one for myself but I think they might be good Christmas presents, so I’m in for three!
If you read the reviews, it uses a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Takes between 2-3 hours to fully charge and lasts 200 hours on standby. One of the review sites decided to see how long it lasts through normal day to day use on a single charge. It lasted over 4 days and decided to quit believing the charge life is adequate enough.
So to answer your question, no need for a car charger. Unless you are inquiring about one that mounts the phone somewhere reachable in the car, then you have to check with your cell phone service provider for one for the model phone you have.
I hope that answers your question.
Assuming this is the same thing as the 600 (since can’t find a 600BT anywhere), it is model number BT-SYLA04. Searching that model number, this seems to be an upgrade from the 500.
Searching that model number this seems to “retal price” at about $50 but real price $25-30.
