I bought this a couple of months back off the mothership. Seems like a pretty good saw for the weekend warrior homeowner.
The assembly instructions are a little confusing , but no real complaints.
Love mine! Bought it to trim both pine and hardwood trees in my yard (I have 10 trees around my property, and they haven’t been trimmed in years). Did a great job with branches up to 4-5 inches thick. The locking mechanism for the adjustable head angle loosened up after a few uses and you have to keep an eye on chain tension. The plastic plate that goes over the chain and bar is a little flimsy and can pop out of place, but it didn’t affect performance. I love the constant power from the plug-in connection. Overall it’s been a great investment.
Just about the best $64 bucks you’ll spend for something around the house. You won’t use it frequently, but knowing it’s there and it will do the job is great.
I bought one of these a couple years ago and haven’t regretted my purchase once!
Don’t expect to cut down a tree or anything, but it will easily take care of branches and the like.
Procrastination pays off, once again. Dare I say it- woot!
I had already decided on getting this pole saw on amazon for $80, but ended up setting it off for another day’s shopping. Well I guess today is that day, along with a little discount and a fancy purple color I hadn’t known about to boot.
…
Now to find a good deal on chainsaw oil
Going to have to get one for my Thunderdome.
TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!!!
Many years ago I purchased a “Woodzig Pole Saw”, what a piece of junk. The blade was nothing more than a paper clip with some small notches on it. The blade broke EVERY time I used it.
Sun Joe saws are a THOUSAND times better.
I’m idiotically happy to see a tool in a girly color. Quite a few of us get giddy over tools as well.
I bought a purple one a few months back
Uh, chainsaw oil? I suppose I should hear more about this as I didn’t know it was a thing - would you please expand on the when, how do you know, what kind - 1st time chainsaw owner here and uh could use some guidance
(Gulp)
Bar and chain lube. You can get a gallon of it at Walmart or even auto parts places.
@Fritzilla thank you - that could have been really bad
