I didn’t say it was wise or unwise, just my experience of human nature tells me some would likely do so.

Got mine today (red) no lifestraw, food or water. Matches are a firestarter.

Was offered a partial refund of 15 bucks. Can anyone here recommend something quality to stock for food for like 3 bucks after the 12 for a lifestraw…

Got the black one delivered today, same items missing / exchanged. (no lifestraw, food or water. Matches are a firestarter.)

Yea this seems like either a large QC issue or an intentional omission due to supply issues.

Received mine today, no food, water and life straw missing. I bought two and both were missing same items

Honestly this is the worst kind of item to have this happen to. People may think leaving it sealed it a good idea and not check. Than in a crisis they are out of luck.

But…

Doctor: “You will need to take one of these pills daily for the rest of your life.”
Ziggy: “Ok. But you only gave me 3 pills.”
Doctor: “Yes.”

Maybe this is some sort of WOOT! Darwinism at work? Only preserving those who are verifying their orders🤨.

The Redditor comments of angst are interesting. Some felt gut punched. Others thought the cartoonist was sort of a saddist for setting them up!

most of them were just talking about their purse from what I read…

Not five bucks, but there’s this pseudo lembas bread…

PLEASE READ

Our vendor has checked a portion of the inventory and found most had all the items. This means that it’s not a mass issue so if you received one that didn’t have all the pieces, reach out to Woot! Customer Service for some options.

Please allow 24-48h for them to respond.

Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.

Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Self-Return: Items without Li-Ion batteries can be self-returned within 30 days. Go to your Order Details to get started. The return label will be emailed from UPS.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

They’re offering me a partial refund of $8!

The hell???

Running through the mothership, it would be a minimum of $35 to replace the missing items ($11 Lifestraw, $12 for water sachets, $12 for food bars) and that’s not even counting the matches as the fire starter does present a slight upgrade, tho apparently Surviveware does sell the missing matches separately for $10 (no big rush to give them any more of my money).

Curious that they’re claiming that their inventory mostly shows full kits because besides the insulting $8 partial refund, my only other choice is to return for a full refund… if they have so many complete kits, why not offer me a guaranteed checked full kit in exchange?

Full return would be a challenge too since the radio has an 18650 lithium ion battery inside it. Also maybe don’t get that food you linked. The first ingredient is sugar.

I know finding low sugar options is going to be rough in long life foods since fats go rancid but this might be slightly better if less pleasant to eat. https://a.co/d/cvpzr8I

As a prediabetic I could eat something high sugar but it would need to be slowly nursed throughout the day which isn’t ideal in a disaster scenario.
