Just a heads up @RebelTaz
Oh, wow… I actually have been looking into getting a new pair of radios! And this is a good price. Thank you!
Since these radio’s come from Woot, I wouldn’t worry too much about this, but… If I were buying these from the company directly…
FIrst, they are CLEARLY Baofeng knock-offs. Right down to the MODEL NUMBERS!
And NOTHING says “professional” and “trustworthy” like
For those who don’t know,
… is a meaningless, Latin-looking text block used by typesetters for centuries to aid in layout design.
Oh… and their navigational “links” at the bottom of each page, including the “Support” options?
NONE of those are live, active, cliackable links except for the “Download Center.”
Sheesh seems sketchy. Better just to buy straight up Boafeng or their “legit” knockoff Rugged Radios
CAUTION
Use of these radios requires an active FCC amateur Radio License.
Use without this may end you with thousands of dollars in fines as well as prion time.
I hope you have a valid FCC Amateur Radio License …
