Does this retain heat like a blanket? Or is it a light weight ground cloth?

It looks like parachute material. I have a similar blanket. It’s good with heat. I’ve used it at the beach but the bad part was the sweat pooling on the sheet as I sun tanned. So I wouldn’t use it for beach but perfect for picnic and works to keep the rain off you if you use it as a blanket over your head.
So this is the latest Woot purchase to be allegedly shipped and just… die. It sits there in tracking saying it’s ready for UPS pickup and never goes to “In Transit” on its way to me. Woot’s previously helpful customer service now appears to be turned over to overseas Amazon third-party reps. I asked them for help, but in semi-pandering terms they so far have said the equivalent of “you have to wait” twice while claiming they would get back to me in 2-3 business days. Well, it’s been 5 now and no one seems to want to take charge of this. Dearest Woot, can you possibly help with this?
Got mine. It is like thin, silky material. Problem is, there is a hole snipped in the middle of it, like someone snipped it with scissors. Not sure how to get one without a hole. 
Hi there. Sorry for the frustration. This is shipped by Amazon and we don’t have a lot of visibility into their shipping systems. We do usually ask customers to give it a reasonable time.
