[/quote]
Yes - amazingly woot has discovered how to ship a 70 inch TV for only $5.
It’s all in the special patent-protected folding method they use to place it in a USPS Flat-Rate Prioirty Mail envelope.
I bought the top of the line 70" 3D Sharp last time around for $50 more than this price, and it is Awesome. Perfect shape and great picture.
Shipping was the worst experience I’ve ever had from a company. The delivery guy was terrible and the tv wasn’t even secured in the back of his semi trailer. The tv box was actually in the middle of the semi trailer tipped over onto another package at a diagonal angle.
The packaging itself was also terrible with rips and tears in it. One gouge on the top of the box was 6" deep into it. Thank goodness the little foam pieces in the corners were just a bit taller than that to keep whatever damaged the box from hitting the tv.
I had to unload it from the back of the semi trailer onto the back of my lifted pickup (thank goodness they were almost the same height when I backed up to the semi trailer). He didn’t want me to open it to check for damage before signing for it…in the rain, on the most wrinkled, wet, and bleeding inked carbon copy paper I’ve ever seen.
Plus, he was over an hour later than I was told he’d be there…after I called the shipping company, because they never called and it was after the delivery window period. Mind you, I was told he was “just across town” (10,000 pop.) when I called, and it was another hour after that.
I could go on, but you get the nightmarish picture. I’d say go ahead and order, but if they’re still using the same shipping company I’d be leery. Make sure you inspect the tv COMPLETELY top to bottom, front to back for ANY damage BEFORE signing for it. I am very grateful that I got mine in the house and setup without any damage.
P.S. My Sharp retailed for $3,699 new, so I’m not complaining about WOOT’s price and shipping fee. Ebay was no less expensive.

Dear woot, I’m sadly disappointed in this “sale” I’ve been looking for a 60+ inch tv for some time, unfortunately I can get most of these tv’s cheaper elsewhere.
Sincerely
The consumers

Where did you find a vizio cinemawide TV for this price? Best I could find was 1200 on eBay.
How many here have purchased Refurb TV’s from Woot? Good luck, bad luck, a mix?? Im in the market for a newer larger HDTV than what I have, only a 42" Im always a little leary of Refurbished products as I have been burned before. I know there is a warranty and all, but shipping around large electronics back and forth to manufacturer can be a pain in the you know where…
I’m tempted to get a TV too, and am interested in the extended warranty, where can I find information on it(or if it exists for woot anymore)?
if the vizio is a refurb why is it only $400 less than new?

Because its a 70 inch TV… 400 is a pretty significant chunk of change in the part of the universe I come from… I mean its about the price difference on most the rest of these sets. Its just that base price is much lower than the base price of a 70 inch TV. Besides refurb does not mean the same as used… TV was pulled open at the factory by the people who built it initially, the parts that don’t work right were pulled out and replaced with parts that do work, and TV was tested to make sure it meets qualifications.

I have the Vizio as well, and while it’s generally been a great TV, if I hadn’t had a squaretrade warranty on mine I would have been out of luck. After the Vizio warranty expired the picture started fading and then cutting completely out, although the sound continued to work. Apparently (according to the internet) this is/was a fairly common issue. Squaretrade guy came, took the back off the TV, replaced 3 or 4 circuit boards, and I haven’t had a problem since. Not sure if I’d pull the trigger w/o at LEAST a year warranty/eligibility for third-party extended warranty.

The E70 was released in November of 2012, none of them have run out of warranty as yet.
Costco has been selling off their inventory of the Vizio CinemaWide tvs brand new for 699
Hi, Unfortunately my 50" LCD arrived with severely cracked screen. Sent an email for the RMA a few days ago. Wondering how long it takes WOOT to respond to the RMA request???

Sorry for the busted TV. I’ll check on this end. Be sure to check your spam folder too. We end up there a lot.
Update: They got the email you sent this morning. They’ll answer it later today.
Sorry to break the news to you but I’M on the same boat for the second time!!!I need help with wood return, I bought a SHARP LC-70C8470U 70" 1080p 240Hz 3D Smart TV with Wi-Fi and for the second time its defected, am I the only one who keeps getting defective products? The first one looked like a dinosaur took a bite off of it! The second one has a shower of dead pixies on top. On the first one it took woot 45days to refund my money. I thought maybe its the delivery company its not there fault this like this happens! Let me give them a second change!! I have made many purchases with woot up to $300 and had no problem but the 2 times I made a large purchase I have problems! they act like a $1,700.00 purchase its nothing! I reported the second TV damage on Sunday morning all I got from woot is that the shipping company will call me to pick up the damage TV on Monday at 4:57pm even if I reply they are gone at 5:00pm how convenient. I have send many emails and they are asking me to wait, my purchase was made on 7/30/13 and the next day the funds was drawn from my account. They are very fast on getting your money now good luck getting it back! They stall you with BS and make you wait more than 30days for your 7days refund! Now I have this big box in my house and no money to buy another one!

I’
I have been looking at my email and checking the website here for a reply the last email that I got from woot was on Tuesday I have not received anything news not even a phone call from the shipping company to come and pick up the product the TV that is broken. So Here we are on Thursday 11:58 PM no phone calls from the shipping company no news from woot!! So I called the number that’s on the invoice where they delivered the TV and when I spoke with a Gentlemen at seko they told me that woot has not contacted them to come and pick the TV up! So I just lost a week to add on the 7 days of your return policy!
Ok you told me you were going to help me I’m still waiting on the emails you mention here! My TV left the house over seven business days ago I still have not gotten my refund and I still got no answer how much longer do I have to wait for my money! I don’t understand the concept of seven business days Returned when you’re gonna take 15 -20-30 days to return the money why advertising you have a seven business days return when in reality it’s not! I am sorry to sound so rude I am beyond frustrated every time it’s the same story. I just want my money back I just want what’s mine.
If you haven’t received a response from WMS, I will forward your post along again to see if I can’t find you a resolve. I would also recommend that you check the spam folder of your email provider as sometimes their responses get filtered there.
Usually a return can take 7-10 days to ship back to the warehouse and (depending on your banking institution) a couple of days after RMA receives the item to refund your account.
I will ping Woot Member Services again to see if they can’t expedite the refund process.
Again, I’m very sorry to hear that you’re still patiently waiting to find a resolve to this issue.
I will update you with any information I find here ASAP.
So my 50" lg tv just arrived and the screen is completely destroyed. Metal back is even dented everywhere. Does Woot only do refunds or have people gotten replacements too?
